How dare you speak such ill of Saint Max!

nonsense. they lead the league in PP opps because their speed and quickness impels the opposition to clutch and grab to slow them down, and i'm sure that will manifest itself in road games as well.

We all knew with a compressed schedule there would be atleast 1 top team that the wheels fall off....looks very bad for the Rags

they are really banged up and the pressure has got to be getting to them

Malkin may have a concussion....injuries starting to surface around the league

that CBJ deal with the Rangers may turn up a nonplayoff pick, a top young defenseman in Erixon, and a very good glue guy in Dubinksy

Nevermind the Rags the Caps are the fall apart team so far this year. Rags are finding a way down though

In a previous play, McDonut drove Max's head, face first into the hand rail when he was vulnerable and a few plays later, drove his glove up Prusts face when Prust was bent over and again, vulnerable.

So McDonut got retribution for two dirty plays and two periods where Rags were gooning it up. Too bad.

McDonagh does turn into it, he put himself in a bad spot.

That said, Pacioretty is a piece of crap. The smirk on his face after needs to be removed....by a Lucic fist.

Yeah he did turn into it, but Patches had plenty of time to let up even after he turned IMO

Should have tried to drop the gloves with him instead of boarding him. Not surprised though, one it's a Hab, and two it's Pacioretty.

Was talking about this with a couple of friends recently. Who would you root for in a Canucks/Habs SCF? Couldn't reach a consensus...but I think I might actually want Montreal in that.

Sort of obvious but HNIC is very biased in favor of the Canadian teams in the broadcasts. So in a game between a U.S. based team and a Canadian team a play resulting in an injury to a player on the U.S. team is generally treated much differently than one to a player on a Canadian team.

That and the referees frequently seeming to decide to give Montreal and Toronto that final powerplay when they are down by one in the third period leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Every game it seems you know it's coming....The referees will call the slightest infraction on the U.S. based road team while letting Montreal/Toronto get away with the same thing.

Hearing today. Maybe he'll get a game for the smirk.

Neither do I, but not many people expected them to do so well in their home games. For that matter, their 4-1-1 record on the road isn't bad.

Why do people say the Habs wont keep it up on the road? Iirc they only have one loss on the road. Plus they are balanced so last change doesn't matter much.

Both were cheap. We have seen McD and his antics vs the Bruins. That's why Lucic pops him in the beak every game. Maxi pad felt cheaped out and retaliated. That's the way it should be.
