Did a Russian born defenseman named Dmitri Orlov ever exist, or was he just a figment of our collective imagination?

Did Locker confirm the other night that Orlov is out with a concussion? Or had that already been confirmed......or is it not really confirmed?

Confirmed by GMGM in his presser a few days ago. Said it's looking like another month at least.

My gut it is still going to take a while for him to get back in the lineup. Groin injuries seem to naturally linger especially for hockey players.

please no. just vomited.

I remember the club trying to sell him as the next Peca.

His only highlight for this team was beating the tar out of that clown Weiss.

Ovi taking to playing the right side getting more chances
Blames Dead Cats Arena on Lockout
Players hears what fans say. Says no one is fragile otherwise they wouldn't be here.
Fans don't know dick. A guy that appears to have lost a step can have a fractured foot
Cleared to practice with contact

I cant help but think of Chimera speaking of fans complaining about someone having lost a step. No, he did not say Chimera fractured his foot.

Really hate that we let Semin go after finally getting a second line center. And I just don't understand all the whispers about the locker room. Maybe the problem really was Ovie all along, because it sounds like they love him in Carolina:

fans dont know dick. its true. it also appears that laich is from the mcphee school of media contact. ha.

semin: people wanted heads to roll. come on. the caps didnt win. didnt get close enough to winning. boudreau got canned and semin got canned and some lesser players.

the whining and crying around here had the caps reupped semin would have been unbearable

So it was Ovechkins fault Semin didn't play as hard as him in the playoffs?

Semin isn't anything special. Their PK sucks. He still skates around lazily. He's been lucky to not have it bite him in the ass so far.

Ovechkin got made temporary captain by Dynamo. Semin got scratched by Torpedo. Oh yeah Ovechkin had the A for the Channel One cup while Semin was not asked to come. Ovechkin appears to be good tricking a lot of people then.

10 most disappointing skaters:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nhl/story...inting-skaters

Quote:
4. Marcus Johansson, C, Washington Capitals

Despite 46 points last season and some of the league's most highly sheltered ice-time, Johansson's performance has been enigmatically bad this season. Not only is the team getting absolutely bombed when he's on the ice, he has just a single point, 4 shots on goal and is a minus-7 so far. Hopefully his recently reported upper body injury is partly responsible and the young scorer will soon return to form.

-

1. Alex Ovechkin, LW, Washington Capitals

Signed to an incredible 13-year, $124 million deal back in 2008 after the first of his two Hart Trophies, Ovechkin was considered possibly the world's greatest hockey player and the man who would guide Washington to its first Stanley Cup. Not so much.

Despite repeated coaching changes and playing assignments that are truly ideal for his offensive talents, Ovechkin's 6 minor penalties, minus-4 and 10 points (tied with Joel Ward) have made Ovechkin's league-leading $9.5 million cap hit look rather silly less than five years later.

So indications the conference for the Capitals next year will look like:

-Carolina
-Columbus
-New Jersey Devils
-New York (Brooklyn) Islanders
-New York Rangers
-Philadelphia Flyers
-Pittsburgh Penguins
-Washington Capitals

Decent rivalries return

Looks like Detroit will move to the following conference

-Boston
-Buffalo
-Detroit
-Florida
-Montreal
-Ottawa
-Tampa Bay
-Toronto

I suppose that winter classic match up of Detroit hosting Toronto would return as well. Now if we can only get Florida to move to Quebec (Nordiques).

I like those. I like hating Philly and Pittsburgh more than I like hating FLA and TB. Really, I don't hate FLA, I hate that I have to like hating them. Know what I mean?

If it's top four make the playoffs and this goes into effect next season, it could be a while before the Caps are back in the postseason.

traded for a draft pick in that first November. Scored exactly one goal before being traded, in a blowout against Toronto. Never actually dressed in the home reds. That draft pick we got for him I believe became Huet.

There's talk about groups with 8 teams might get some sort of wild card to the playoffs.. But it will be much harder to make the playoffs indeed!
