I made an avatar bet, too bad it was suddenly turned down.

Though there's a lot of season left to be played, our positions could flip very quickly.

Who knows. But they'll definitely be better than today. Ducks always seem to play teams who had just played a horrible game.

There is better hockey to watch than the freaking Red Wings and Nashville. Thanks NHL network for forcing this one on us.

They could, absolutely. What peeved me most about that entire discussion was how quickly they were dismissing Anaheim, and saying they were on the downturn. The entire argument boiled down to last season. Nothing else mattered. That, and the ridiculous assertion that adding Yakupov and Schultz was somehow going to have some massive turnaround.

So Joe has fought Toews and Benn this season? He has to be hunting for Datsyuk next.

Really, Thornton just slapped Toews around a little like a kitten after Toews demanded a fight. He could have crushed him.

Thornton just had one of the best PP face off wins I've ever seen.

Drew Remenda is such a whiny *****. It's beyond me how Sharks fans think he's unbiased.

Because the Sharks are to the NHL what Mountain Dew is to rednecks. The best thing ever.

nice of dallas to win it in reg tonight we're 6 points ahead of 2nd (san jose) with 2 points in hand. If the ducks play the way they can on Sunday and Monday that lead will surely be extended

And to think, people have been blaming all the nuclear waste in our local waters on San Onofre.

Just wanted to send some good vibes from Montreal. I'm hoping you guys are loving your team's huge season as much as we're loving seeing our Habs on top. It's payback time for both our teams, after suffering through the misery of 2012 and being picked for the bottom by most predictions.

Best of luck to your team (especially one of our all-time favourites, Saku). Let's keep proving the doubters wrong!

Didn't they just fire all of their scouts right after the last draft?

Gotta think this makes way for league expansion. It would be stupid to have two conferences have one more team than the other two.

Not really, the two rumors for expansion would be Seattle and Quebec, which would make sense to the Eastern conferences to have one 7 team and one 8 team conferences, same with the west. Plus with Phoenix that would leave our conference with 6 teams possibly.

Plus these are all separate conferences now, there will be no divisions, there won't be a single Western Conference and a single Eastern Conference.

I guess I should rephrase, that's stupid and they should consider re-alignment. The "eastern side" having more teams is going mean less western teams to watch.
