He was #3 behind Bouwmeester and Regher and most of his points were on the PP where he was top 10 in the league in ice time. If you ask me i consider the Phaneuf of today much better than the Phaneuf of then since the Phaneuf of then was an incompetent defensively defenseman who only had a hard slapshot and solid hits. At this point he is a solid #1D who excels in all facets.
