Best Leafs moments 2005-present

Hey, I was thinking of making a tribute of sorts to the best Leafs moments since 2005-2006, the bright spots in what has otherwise been a very tough time to be a Leafs fan. Just some amateur editing with Windows Movie Maker, it's just a minor hobby of mine, and I figured I'd come here to look for some moments that stood out to you guys.

Obviously I'll have some Phaneuf hits and Kessel snipes, but as for specific moments this is what I have so far:
- Sundin's 500th
- CuJo shutting out the Capitals
- Grabovski's goal of the year candidate vs the Bruins
- 'The Shift' by Tim Brent during that 5 on 3
- Sundin HHOF

Pretty bleak I know. But do any other major moments stand out to you guys? I'll probably throw Dion's captaincy and maybe Kadri and Rielly getting drafted in there as well, along with other highlights of course. I have about 4 minutes, 20 seconds total to work with so I shouldn't need too much.

If anyone is curious, these are the hockey videos I've done before:

^ THIS! Best moment post 2005 lockout to date. In fact that whole 2006-07 season was my favourite since the lockout ended.

Lee Stempniak's incredible Penalty Kill shift a couple years ago was amazing.

Underrated moment of recent Leafs history.

Hmm, nice suggestion but the problem is that's a difficult kinda thing to capture in a highlights video. I'd need to devote a lot of time to it to provide proper context.

January 31st, 2010.

Was my birthday, but more importantly was the day the Calgary trade happened, and then a few hours later, Toskala left as well.

I remember that day because there was so much excitement and discussion and it all came out of no where.

That would be the one highlight, even though I don't like the trade.

Here are mine:

Game 82 of 06-07 is definitely the best.

Sundin's 500th.

The entire last game against Montreal.

The Bryan McCabe goal in OT vs Pittsburgh after a man in the stands had a heart attack and delayed the game.

The long standing ovation they gave Sundin on his return in a VAN uniform that delayed the game.

Boyd Devereaux's hattrick vs Ottawa in his last game. (Can Leafs fans finally be happy with this one now that Kadri is scoring at a good pace?)

Kadri's SO winner against Brodeur. Kadri's SO winner against Thomas.

That Leafs/Habs game where the habs fans were singing the Hey Hey Hey Goodbye song with minutes left until the Leafs scored a couple late goals to tie it and silence the crowd.

Tie Domi participating in the Leafs first ever shootout.

.
They scored to get a goal back in that game. They were down by 2. They still lost...

They lost in the shootout if I recall correctly. Stole a point and humbled the Habs crowd effectively.

Underrated moment of recent Leafs history.

That was nothing compared to Matt Stajan's penalty kill againt the Sabres.

I think Brents was great but I think Stajan's just barley tops it, his last shot block must of saved a sure goal.

I remember one game in 2007 that was about to go to OT (a minute left) and the Habs fans were chanting something stupid, Stajan came down and scored to make it 3-2 Leafs.

Feb.9 versus the Habs. Seriously that was the highlight since the lockout.

That game where Gerber got kicked out and then CuJo came in and stopped something like 10 shots in the last 2 minutes and overtime and then all 3 in the shootout against the Capitals springs to mind.

Sundin getting punched in the head by Emery and then scoring a beauty and then again in the shootout is another.

A lot of other more obvious ones . . .

These are right up there for me. Only time I was okay with losing, how it ended. Knew exactly what he was going to do in the shootout too.

Lol, seriously.

He looked like he was going out for a couple of beers with the boys.
