I expect Crawford to start, since he has been out for almost two weeks now, and I'm sure he is itching to get back to it. He could possibly get both games in the back to backs tonight and tomorrow, like he did earlier in the season, since there's three days between tomorrow's game and the next one. He and Emery should split the back to back games later in the week.

perfect time to lose a game. Best vs worst team in the Conf. Just broke the record.

Why would Crawford start? Roll with Emery til they lose.

No announcement has been made - but some of the Chicago media has predicted Crawford.

Chew on this stat. Crawford's .935 and 1.65 is good enough for 3rd in the league in both categories. Only Loungo and Anderson have been better overall. Ray Emery is 8th and 10th in the league.

If he plays smart and simple without letting in crawfulsoft goals he'll have great stats. But, let's not kid ourselves for a second, those are team stats. He's nowhere near guys like Lehtonen, Halak, Varlamov or even Niemi at this point.

Wouldn't even want Varlarmov on this team. Niemi, sure but he also gives up his share of soft goals. In fact, both goals on Friday were poorly played by him.

Crawford starting. Bolland is out. Kruger to center 2nd line, probably Mayers on 4th.

Where did you see that? I haven't seen who's starting in goal anywhere.

Crawford in tonight. #Blackhawks

Brian Hedger ‏@BrianHedger
Bolland also out for #Blackhawks, as anticipated, day-to-day upper body. #NHL

Brian Hedger ‏@BrianHedger
Kruger's heading up to the second line, as well -- keeping the 1st and 3rd lines together, at least to start. #Blackhawks #NHL

Brian Hedger ‏@BrianHedger
Q also mentioned that he liked the way Kruger played with Sharp and Kane in the third against #SJSharks, when Bolland had already left ice.

I like putting Kruger on the 2nd line.

I think you have to go with Crawford here. He hasn't lost either you know. And he has been more consistent. He is our starting goalie. Let him get back into things against a team like Columbus.

Solid GDT.

Seems like a lot of HFers at the game tonight. I'll also be there, section 332 row 8- Kane jersey and a green hat if you wanna buy me a beer

That said although this is a trap game I think they'll continue to not lay back until the streak actually ends. Crawford should be ready to play extra hard to keep his confidence up and I don't see the time off as anything but positive in this shorten season. Enough time to rest up but not too much to get rusty and out of his rhythm.

Sucks to see Bolland out, Kruger has been great but he's been doing so in the 3rd line role. Shouldn't be enough to cost us though.

#Blackhawks scratches: Brookbank, Bollig and Bolland. That means Jamal Mayers will be on the fourth line with Frolik and Carcillo.
I guess the above lines are correct.

Looking forward to seeing crow back in net and to see what the lines look like with Bolland out. The hawks need to come out fast and take advantage of the Blue Jackets playing last night and traveling.

On a side note: I am conflicted watching the Van-Det game. As much as I love seeing Loungo get lit up, I hate seeing Detroit doing good.
