For those asking, MacKinnon is doubtful for this weekend and won't be back until he is absolutely 100%. So call it day-to-day if you wish.

I'd say for us this year I would guess ... (Let's say we play 4 rounds)

Round 1: 8000+ per
Round 2: 8500+ per
Round 3: Sellout
Round 4: Sellout

And the reason I question what attendance will be like is because last big run (2008) our attendance was poor in the playoffs, but last year against Rimouski it was madness .... This years team is much more popular (and better) than '08, and "Moosemania" has perhaps returned ... When I called at 11:02 for Rimouski tickets, two minutes after sales opened, I got row S, 4th last to the back of the upper bowl ... We soldout games in 5 minutes which sucked lol .... I imagine that will be back for this years semis and possibly Finals ..
I guess another thing to take into effect is the price of walk-ups. How much have prices increased from regular season to round 1? Last year, how much did walk up prices increase from reg to round 1 to round 2 to round 3? (I have seasons so never paid the walk up price).

I think we got behind an underdog last year after the great comeback vs Quebec. I don't think the playoff tickets will sell out quite as quickly in any round, but I agree wiht your numbers.

Another thing that will make the numbers higher is the fact that barring conflicts with the Metro Centre, we'll be playing games 1-2 at the Metro Centre on weekends. More weekend games should raise the numbers somewhat.

That's the thing with weekends ... Those dates far exceed the walk-ups on a weekday for example, plus I can't think of a season ticket/package holder not buying a playoff pack in their deal ... Which should lead to a usual attendance of 8000+ ...

Last years Reg season had an average of 6608, and it the attendance went to 7500 in rd. 1, 8500 in rd. 2, and then the sellouts ...

As for ticket prices I believe they went up, but I couldn't tell you how much .... I was more concerned with just getting online on Ticket atlantic to get one lol ... I have seasons this year, so I won't know ... And I'm very happy that I already ordered my tickets lol.

I can already tell that the fan base here is completely different that the fan base back in Windsor (with the recession and whatnot).

Spits were 57-10-0-1 that year and still first round generated very few walk ups. Games in round 1 averaged 5300 fans. The second round (against one of the more hated rivals) still only drew 5500 to the games. Round 3 was a bit better (against or most hated rival as well as John Taveres) as the first 2 games were around 6000 and didn't sell out until game 5. The finals were a sell out though for the 3 games.

Ticket prices were as follows:

Round 1- $18
Round 2- $20
Round 3- $22
Round 4- $23

They raised ticket prices per round? Is that ethical? lol

Did we do that in Halifax? I can`t imagine we did.

I do believe it's common practice to increase prices every round. Ticket prices are governed by the leagues so I can't see them doing anything illegal (considering the sanctions the team got for "recruitment violations").

FYI: walk up tickets right now sit at $21... and that team is going to miss the playoffs.

Quick question, who plays on Martin Frk's line? Is he playing with Drouin and McKinnon? Thanks

Normally it's those two, but with MacKinnon out it's Stephen MacAulay.

I'm running out of adjectives to describe this kid and the crazy stuff he does on the ice. This is absolutely redonkulous!

Fournier's reaction on the bench is priceless! Nothing much you can do besides shake your head at that silliness!

This team is special. I think this should be enough to move back to #1 in the CHL rankings.

Mooseheads clinch 1st overall and home ice throughout the playoffs! Congrats boys!

Currently sitting with 4 30 goal scorers:

Drouin 36
Boudreau 34
Fournier 32
Frk 30

You would imagine that both Nate (28) and MacAuly (29) will break that barrier as well.

Then we have Ashley (21), Ryan (19) and Chiampini (19) who will all finish with 20+ goals. If Ryan continues on this torrid pace since returning, it's possible he will hit 30 as well.

That was easily the best individual effort I ever seen Drouin give. What a player.

I was accepting of losing MacKinnon likely next year, but Drouin is making a strong case as well. If Patrick Kane can make it I think Drouin will have a good shot as well.

I'm not sure it was his best individual effort... that goal he scored a couple weeks back was pretty special.

You'll have to be more specific, he has to many highlight reel goals for me to sort through.

This one against Shawinigan where he undresses all 5 players.

Wow what a ****ing shift by Drouin today, I was hoping they would score 12 to break the franchise record for most goals in a game. It was kinda sad when Boudreau got his 3rd goal and not one hat was thrown on the ice.

I saw 1.

Though in fairness, the whole hat thing makes no sense to me. Why waste a good $30 hat? :dunno

I know Nate has missed some time but I'm shocked Frk has more points than him

Picked a good night to pot 11 goals. Purolator donated 1100lbs of food to local charities.

Frk has played 5 more games too ... But with Marty's improvement I'm not surprised he's tearing it up now.

Just noticed that Jakub Voracek has 13 points in his last 5 games with the Flyers. He might even set a career high despite the shortened season and (at the moment) he's outscoring Claude Giroux.
Nice to see him doing well. Up until last season, he might have been the most talented forward the Mooseheads ever had.

Anyone know when the CHL puts out it's next top-10? If Halifax isn't at the top by now then it's a damn joke..
- Highest win%..
- Haven't lost a total of 10 games
- Two less wins than Portland in 6 less games

Also, why does the WHL get to play more games in a season? OHL and QMJHL play 68, WHL plays 72... I'm not accepting that they have more teams as a reason, as the OHL has more teams than the Q, yet they play the same amount.
