I was waiting for this reaction. You folks are naive if you think for even a moment that the tandem we have, have proven anything when it counts.... and we are still one injury away from being screwed back there. We were lucky that CC was not badly concussed (at least that's how it seems).... that luck may not continue. And opps are well aware - don't be surprised if teams run our goalies on a regular basis.
Both goalies have done the job (so far this year) but I'm not convinced that we have good enough goaltending to win the Cup. Crawford does not have the athleticism and I still doubt Q will give Emery the net in the playoffs no matter what occurs this season. Stan needs to keep the option open to bring in a 3rd goalie at the TD. Bernier? He could turn out as the long term solution here.
You complain that Crawford isn't athletic enough, then complain that Emery won't be given a chance in the playoffs (despite being less athletic) and all the while want a smaller version of Crawford in Bernier? Alright..
It's kind of funny when people talk about the playoffs and our goaltending and then say, "We should get Bernier! Or Markstrom! Or Lehner!". Yeah, because that's what Chicago needs to win a Cup, an unproven goaltender with no playoff experience!

Crawford/Emery haven't proven anything when it counts, so you want to get Bernier, who hasn't proven anything in the NHL at all?
Crawford just had an injury and we were so screwed we went 4-0.
goaltending is fine, we have a guy as #3 that could be our #2. If we would want, we could trade for a goalie. I'm sure ANA would give us Hiller for the right and still fair price with the way Fasth is playing. Still think VAN would like to have their "problems" solved rather sooner than later
And you're naive if you think Bernier is any better.
He's looked pretty good to me .... If nothing else it's an insurance policy to get a young goalie in here that can play now and in the future. I doubt that's Karllson.
Crawford just was 1st star with a SO and Karlsson just comes off a 2-1 win against the Wolves being the #1 star of the game stopping 23 of 24 shots. Why waste assets again?
2nd shutout in his last 3 starts if I remember correctly. Goaltending is no longer an issue for us. Only question mark at this point is will it last in the playoffs?

We have a goalie that can play now and in the future, his name is Crawford, Corey.
Based on watching at least parts of every game this season I would say his assumption is closer to coming to fruition than yours.
based on playing real hockey and playing goalie crawford is not better than emery just cuz Q named him the number 1 in the beginning of the year doesnt mean crap. Emery has been waiting for this and is seizing the moment

Please shed some light as to why Emery is better than Crawford, from your perspective as a goalie?
