We are also spending 13 million more.

13m pretty much gets you Parise and Suter on the open market last year.

I LOVE the JVR trade for us. Was a fan of him in Philly for a while before he even came here.

Parise wasn't coming here anyways. Had his heart set on "home" (Minnesota).

And how many of those millions are in the press box/minors? That's just an irrelevant point to deflect attention from a weak argument.

Worrying about having enough cap room to re-sign your key players, something that the Canucks, Flyers, Sharks, and Penguins seem perfectly capable of doing, is a much better problem to have then not having enough of them to sign in the first place.
YA they went to the finals in 06 and started a rebuild the next year. Without PRonger they sucked.

We didn't even start our Renovation under Burke until Nov. 2008. And Cliff retarded the process by trading Steen days before Burke took over.

So ya. We are better right now. We went from crappy to decent way faster then they have.

So what we sat 9million of that in the press box. So that point is moot.

Don't ask me ,BB is the genious that brought them here.

Goes to show what a well spent 13m could put on your roster instead of sitting in the AHL and presser.

Flip flop.

So we spend way more so we have an advantage.
But we are sitting 9M of that "advantage"
Well BB is an idiot for bringing in those guys.

Doubt Anahiem is paying Burke

Part time pro scouts don't make 3 million a year, maybe the Board let him go to get him out of their hair.

I'm bashing him for his bad moves.

When I weight all of the things together and i do mean all of it, trades,UFAs,re signings, coach's, team evaluation, dev system, drafting, organizational strategy.

When i add it all up, he did more harm then good.

For what he earned and the lauded credentials that followed him here, he utterly failed us.

A damn monkey would have us roughly in the same position we are now.

The disaster from UFA signings of Lebda, Komisarek, Armstrong, Beauchmen, Connolly are more then made up by the UFA signings of Macarthur and Mclemment.

Trading Lebda for Franson and Beauchemin for Gardiner/Lupul helped
