honestly, these days i don't even really know what the point of adding size and toughness is for the canucks. the minute we play "tough" we get killed by penalties ahoy. take for example kassian. we finally get a prototypical powerforward and he gets a penalty the moment he crashes the net. tanev gets hit bad and kassian starts a scrum ("canucks don't stand up for themselves!" - sound familiar?) and gets an even-up call and we don't even get a powerplay out of it.

I'm mad that Tootoo essentially saved his team from killing a penalty by being a turtle. If he drops 'em like he should, they both get 5 and the Canucks get a PP.

As much as we all hate it, turtling is effective. That's why I'm "mad" (not that I'm livid or anything).
