Still, it'd be nice to see some progress in what has become the worst 2nd period team in the league (relative to their play the rest of the time). It's just a complete momentum killer which can be deadly in the playoffs. I don't think it's mere coincidence that pretty much every time the games got out of hand in the 2011 playoffs that it happened in the 2nd period.

Yeah, completely agreed. I just don't get it. What is it about this team and 2nd period meltdowns?

I'll point to Chicago and leave it at that.

They keep trying to work the in tight behind the net plays and are getting shut down continually.

I'm confident we can beat Howard twice to tie this game.

The pp breakout is about as ugly as I've seen. Do the coaches think this is novice?
3 forwards trailing the puck carrier...it doesn't work.

Disagree. He has not been "fine".

The PK has been bad, but Luongo hasn't helped.

On the 5th goal against, I'm not talking about him initially going down into the butterfly, I'm talking about him going down right after that, right after it bounced off Garrison's skate. He couldn't track the puck so his answer was to flop and it was the wrong call.

I never understood this mentality that just because a puck changes direction it completely obsolves the goalie from saving it?

Aside from that giveaway at the blueline he's played very well. Limited minutes but very solid.
