This team clearly does not show up to play the **** teams. 5 goals against from the Islanders TWICE! Caps, and what's it 4 or 5 from the Jets?
It doesn't help that this team can't score more than 2 goals against a team with like a 3+ GAA on the year.
This team was rowing along nicely with great goaltending, good PKing, and a great power play. When the goaltending becomes garbage, the PK doesn't exist, and the PP goes away you see what it does to this team.

Nobody thought it was going to be easy. If you did, you forgot what happened in the off season. But as long as we're in the race, we're in the damn race.
But it is time to get our **** together. Start with better goaltending and not taking stupid penalties. Guaranteed this team looks better almost instantly. And then work on everything else in the meantime.
I am frustrated as hell, but I am only going to be pessimistic if this team is at the top of their game, doing everything they can, playing to the best of their abilities, and losing games. There are plenty of things that need to be and CAN be fixed, so...holding on tight.

Exactly. The Devils are basically waiting for other teams to catch up in games played and pass NJ in the standings. They're pissing away a great start and everyone looks lost out there. I hope DeBoer has something in mind, because this is gonna ruin their chances in a shortened season.

The race is too tight for the team to just fall off like this. it has to stop at 2-4-1 or this could get out of control quickly and there is no time in the year to flop out.

Unacceaptable to not show up against these teams. Now more than ever I really believe this is why we needed 7 to take down Florida, but were a lot better against the Flyers, and Rangers. This team never plays a complete game against the cream of the crap teams. And unfortunately for us we have a bunch of games against the cream of the crap coming up.

Well said. This coach, team and the veterans who have literally bled for the red and black deserve some support from the fans. Let's hope the Devils give 'em hell on Thursday.
