There's now a big lack of confidence. They are more scared to lose than they want to win.
3 days off at the right time.

Loki looks good when playing in the bottom 6; however, when he gets slotted with Kovy, he looks to pass to #17 every chance he gets. Am I the only one who notices this?
They didn't play anywhere near 60 minutes (I understand no team does) I'm not even sure if they played 20. This has become a growing trend among teams much lesser than them. It's not an ''Any given night, Devils occasionally lose to a lesser team'' thing. It's been happening a lot for the past 2 weeks.
When they ****ed up against the Flyers they came back, and won it. They don't show that against these garbage POS suck teams like the Jets.
I understand what you are saying and don't necessarily disagree. But when someone says "they didn't show up" or "no effort" it's just lazy analysis of poor play. There are man reasons why a team might play badly; giving "no effort" is rarely one of them, especially the Devils.
PP sucks, PK sucks, the forecheck is gone and the goaltending has been shady. This is a bad team right now but there's plenty of time to turn it around.
Not happy with Volch's stupid penalties. I haven't hardly complained about him, but he needs to stop with that ****. He's taken that same penalty a bunch this year.
Marty is all we need ob there is circumstances he coukdnt play
I said the other night hedberg is not the hedberg we had last year.
Maybe its time we give a frazee a look we are going to be in some trouble soon might as well get the loss and have a goalie we can throw in when we kno its time to pull mooase cause god forbid brodeur would come in.
Yup. Listen, as a Devils's fan, you expect much better. I get the frustration and I hate losing, but I have a pretty long leash with this team.
There's just too many quality players, leaders and coaches. They will figure it out. Luckily Lou never panics. He only makes other GMs panic.
There were some saying we were peaking early so that fear is dead. If we have to slump let it be now. Hopefully a few days off allows us to get it together. This tight schedule is killing us.
Marty's soreness killed us. Moose was very off tonight. Rare bad game by Larsson didn't help. We need CBGB back. Say what you will but we need their energy and consistency right now.

They didn't really look like they came out in the 3rd I'll say that much.
Moose isn't done, but he's best a backup. Marty looked awful after he came back from injury last year, so let's hope he's alright. He's been damn good for us this year, and only has a 911 or some **** because of suspect PKing. At even strength he's up there with some of the top goalies in the league.
NJ is just too easy to play against right now. They also miss Zubrus big time.
Chico is a raging idiot most of the time but he was spot on about this being a real concerning loss. This was easily the worst loss of the year for this team imho.
And I'm in no way calling out Hedberg for this loss, but the nonsense of him vs. Marty needs to stop. Never mind puck stopping abilities, the Devils are just not the same without Marty pushing the puck up the ice with his puck handling. He's not as solid at it is as he was ten years ago, but he still helps tremendously to reduce the pressure opposing teams put on the Devils in the offensive zone.
