If Hossa played in the 70s/80s when goalies had smaller pads he would be scoring 60 goals. When goalies are so big now and so padded, you can't just shoot it through them and expect it to leak through somehow. They know you want to go five-hole or take that half-slapper that never goes high enough to get over the pads.

Our movement is just atrocious and our spacing and positioning is even worse. We almost always have 3 players back by the blueline and they rarely collapse toward the goal to give themselves much of a prayer on any shot. There is little movement occurring away from the puck, making it very easy for the PK to set up and get perfect position. Passes to too ******* slow and deliberate; pass the puck around, get the defense moving, and have the players away from the puck moving to find the open spaces.
Despite the coaching change, it's the same lame ass set-up we've seen the last several seasons. Simply inexcusable with the talent we have on the ice and it's only a matter of time before it starts costing us games (maybe even tonight).

LOL, is CSN having some issues tonight? The online feed I'm watching isn't cutting away to commercials or anything. The camera keeps awkwardly cutting in and out to unsuspecting tv crew. Weird.
It reminds me of A League of Their Own when they are showing the commercial introducing the team. Camera is zoomed out on the ugly girl, "How about Marla Hooch. What a hitter!"
Hawks looking like garbage today. Trying to play wide-open hockey with the Jackets guarding the blue line. Nobody wants to dump and chase, which is just killing the offense. The PP has been especially bad, poor spacing, nobody pinching in and yet somehow nobody guarding the line either.... how is that even possible?
