I don't think any non-playoff teams would move their first for Grabbo.
Not saying they would or should trade him, but purely on market value he is worth a first, which you had asked if people thought he was or not

ROR is not going to be a superstar player, I'd rather keep the depth we have now and see what we can do at the draft. Second line centres aren't our problem, we have two potentially soon 3 already.

Ok fair enough. I don't quite see it that way though. Looks like a 1b, 2, 3 C situation to me.

I think you trade Grabo if and when Kadri establishes himself as a top 6 centre.

In terms of depth of talent, the 2013 draft continues to draw parallels to the 2003 draft - so just for fun, the following players were chosen between 10-30:

11. Jeff Carter
13. Dustin Brown
14. Brent Seabrook
17. Zach Parise
19. Ryan Getzlaf
20. Brent Burns
23. Ryan Kesler
24. Mike Richards
28. Corey Perry

I would be willing to trade our 1st straight up for O'Rielly, but certainly not in part of a package which also sees a solid, dependable, top 4 defenceman, and our slightly overpaid second line center.

Big no from the Leafs.

I'd be fine with a Grabo + deal for O'Reilly. Gunnarsson + 1st wouldn't be the + though.

Liles would make more sense than Gunnarsson. Then maybe a mid-pick or prospect.

Despite ROR having far better stats, being more proven, and better defensively?

Lol that wouldn't ever even get talks started for O'Reilly based on the fact that they want no part of John-Michael Liles, and the prospect better be a darn good one. Not my demands, but seems to be the demands of Avs front office
