Though I wouldn't be surprised with our luck if he comes in, and we still suck or if he has a really atrocious game. Something he's long past due for this season.
Keep forgetting the next is Winnipeg again. We need a good rivalry game to wake this team up. Too bad it POS teams like the Jets, and BuffaLOL coming up. Teams that suck, but we make look like the current Blackhawks do.
every time i saw barch with the puck he turned it over almost immediately. plus he throws 4 punches a fight. gio is more physical, carter, bernier, poni and at least those guys offer some skill...i'm in no way saying barch is the only problem or even one of the big ones. but we can't run 4 lines again with him taking up a spot. when carter comes back JJ goes back to albany. when zubie comes back barch takes a seat. no idea who takes JJs pk time tho
I would put Harrold in for Volchenkov. We need some speed on d. How many times were we just getting torched? Also Volch's penalties were bench-worthy. It's not like we lost because of him, but someone needs to sit.
The only positives were Zajac getting on the board and looking good and Lotki and Bernier looking good. That's it. Kovy had his worst game of the year BY FAR. Not even close for me.
With our luck when DeBoer/Lou are finally ready to sit him, someone else will get hurt. The way Larsson got hurt after DeBoer finally had enough of Foster and banished him in the Montreal game. Then he had to come back in the lineup, until the Zidlicky trade.
It was good to see Zajac get on the board with a goal, hopefully the floodgates will open and he can climb out of his funk.
Now, I need to *****:
-Hedberg wasn't very good. He could have had at least two of those goals
-The offense is dryer than a desert right now, where is Henrique? What happened to Clarkson's goal scoring ability?
-Larsson didn't have his best game and was directly responsible for one of the Jets goals.
-Josefson was invisible again, he was on the ice for two Jet goals and while they weren't directly his fault, I wish the guy would show SOMETHING promising to get excited about. I routinely forgot he was playing. Tired of the "he plays with garbage" excuses, Loktionov started on the same line and moved up. Josefson isn't cut out for the NHL right now.
-Volchenkov needs to stop getting beat, he took a kneeing penalty because he was a step behind the play and his other interference call was a terrible play by him as well. I am severely disappointed with how Volch has worked out for this team, I expected so much more when the Devils first signed him.
-The referees were TERRIBLE and cost us a goal late in the game that could have turned the momentum around. No surprise, they are the worst officials in pro sports, but it stung a little bit more because this team could have really used that late goal. The no-call on the clear as day boarding on Clarkson was ****ing nauseating as well.
-The PK sucks.
Very frustrating game overall. I've been calm about losses so far this season, and I still think this team is going to come out of this slump, but this loss hurt. I don't think its time to hit the panic button just yet, but I think the next game is as close to a must win as you can get
