Seriously though why isn't Comeau on the 4th line.
Because as mediocre as he may be, he adds an element of size and physical play that isn't found in the top-9 otherwise. A roster full of one-dimensional and soft offensive forwards isn't going to achieve much in a highly physical, big, and grinding western conference.
That's more the result of the fake parity created by the 3 point system, as opposed to an actual indication of the Flames performance thus far or their chances going forward. Unfortunately, the Flames aren't bad enough to be written off entirely. Add in this false parity and they'll always be just a couple of points out of the playoffs but never quite good enough to take a spot. That's exactly what's happened to the team the last three years and because the owners and Feaster see the team just a couple of wins away from a playoff berth, they've never seen the incentive to make the necessary changes. The organization simply can't afford to let that happen for a fourth time.
I know, even 8th place is a long reach.. I hope they realize this sooner than later
IMO comeau should play with some skill, because he's been a useless 4th liner so far. Maybe he can grab a few points, and we really need bigger bodies throughout the lineup.

I don't know if Cervenka will be any more useful on that line

I hate him on the pk, I don't get why Hartley uses him over Glencross.
