2.28M? No. That's what his cap hit would have been, I mean his team option.

He had a team option, that was what it would have been worth, the Canes declined it

I still haven't seen news on this. He made 2.28 millions last season and the NHLPA is not up-to-date until training camp. So Recchi hasn't signed yet.
