On another note Cecil was around 90-91 today in his first outing. Very promising.

Man that's awesome to hear, I guess that training program he committed to is working. I believe he was at 92-93 when he had his solid 14 win season. He could be a pretty valuable lefty out of the pen for us and is the type of guy that can spot start if needed. I always loved Cecil, he battles.

Yeah for some reason I didn't realize how late into February we are but still it's a month and a half of actual ball time which isn't horrible for what his injury is. That's if all goes well I guess.

Those extra ticks for a lefty are very good. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.

Yep, especially for someone with a decent change-up. Honestly Cecil at 91 is good enough to start.

why doesn't cecil ask delabar how to increase his velocity, i mean wasn't he the guy that taught a program on how to do it before he figured he could use it himself.

Cecil has been using the program that Delabar is involved in.

Delabar also didn't teach it, he was a guinea pig for the program and has continued using it since it has helped him succeed.

Kinda expected. He was throwing 90-93 out of the pen last season.

I think the Jays and AA have made it very clear that those days are over. He'd be like 9th on the depth chart.

Also worth noting is that Jeffress had a clean inning yesterday vs Baltimore. No hits, no walks and 2 Ks

Well, he's going to miss about a quarter of the season if you put it into that perspective, and with those kind of injuries you have to think it'll take even longer before he gets his power back so it's kind of a big blow to them. Not that it should be an excuse, considering what we've gone through, but I can see Yankees fans *****ing about it and using it as a crutch.

So Sportsnet is going to show NYY/Bal spring training on the main networks this morning (or at least it's the game on Pacific), but they won't show Toronto/Boston with Dickey starting?

the ****, Sportsnet?

EDIT: checked. The Yankees/O's game is on all the regional networks.

I don't even care if they just gave us a boston broadcast so they didn't have to pay for Buck/Pat/Jamie/Gregg/Jack. Just let us watch the damn game.

Unfortunately sportsnet is picking up the Yanks vs Os. It's a shame. Johnson and Dickey are supposed to get 2 innings each, as well as the top 4 in the lineup.

Not free from what I can see. It fails when it says 'verifying your account".

Trying to see if I can log in with my Rogers On Demand account that I watch Jays game on my computer though Rogers' website with. It's taking forever to confirm/reject it, though.

****ing MLB.
