He impressed me in the few games I saw of his rookie season with the Canadiens. And I liked the occasional flash of skill and game awareness he showed in his first couple of games with the Senators.

Trust me guys it's hard to let Lats and Regin go but once you do you feel amazing. It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I no longer worry about their recovery or how they are going to perform, it doesn't have any relevance to my thoughts about the team. I am at peace.

Is ottawa considered an underdog to Montreal? I don't mean by our own fans but media/league wide. I personally don't see anything special about Montreal. The east just seems ripe for the picking this year and they are taking advantage of that...

What do you think it would cost the Canadiens to trade for Neil from you guys?

I really don't think the Senators would even consider trading Neil, and if we did then it wouldn't be within the division.

Why would you think we'd give our players away for free?

When i was under 10, i spent my days outside either biking and having crabapple fights with neighbours, playing soccer at the park, playing street hockey on the road...in the evenings, i would watch hockey games in the winter, and simpsons/that 70s show when hockey wasn't on.

I thought the kids who liked pokemon at my school were so lame. lol The older i get, the more people i find that liked pokemon. I always thought it was just the unathletic nerds. In my 20s im realizing it was more then just the nerds that like pokemon. Colour me shocked.

If he's so inconsequential in your eyes, why does Montreal need him?

He's been out of shape for years.

I appreciate he hasn't played much in two years, but his conditioning is terrible and he skates like he is on wet concrete. The best play he made this year was to Turris and he was standing still.

Doesn't have to be here in Ottawa a year, he can be waived and sent to Binghamton.

That's how I felt when Filatov exited.

He's one of the most important guys in the room. And trading him for prospects would be insulting because we're full and seem to draft well annually anyways.

Well, for one thing, 4 of their 5 best players aren't injured.

He's also a great locker room guy, very visible in the community, goes all-in, balls-out every game, and has been loyal to us his entire career. Seriously doubt Neiler gets traded ANYWHERE, let alone to a division rival.

More than he's worth to Montreal or anyone else. Put it that way. He's been in Ottawa all his career, very dedicated to staying, he's one of the best at what he does in his role.

Say he's worth a 2nd to other teams, he's worth a 1st or something to Ottawa.

Since you asked nicely, his price will be future consideration, maybe a 7th if you are feeling generous.
