Look at the top of this page.

Even if we have a dreadful year this year, I still can't see us picking top three. There is the BJ's, Sabres, and Panthers all below us, and they are terrible. The only way I see us picking there is if an injury occurs to Giroux or Bryz. I don't want that to happen whatsoever.

Realistically we wouldn't have to see the farm maybe to move up, but now it costs a pretty penny. We most likely would be dealing with draft picks too, not players from the organization.

It's a shame that Columbus finally relieved themselves of their doodie (Scott Howson) ....we could have made a crap sandwich offer he wouldn't refuse...

Anyway, regardless Flyers should get a pretty good pick this year as they will most likely hover around .500 most of the season. Making the playoffs is going to be tough..

I wouldn't consider a pick pretty good unless it were top 10. That's just me though.

I'm expecting to see the Flyers draft at about 12-13. That would put them right around where Pulock is expected to go. Failing that, Ristolainen is the next Dman on Button's list.

Pulock definitely has the size (6 ft 211 lbs) to play in the NHL already. I'm guessing he spends an extra year juniors and then make the jump to the NHL similar to Hamilton this year.

3 guys on NHL.com put out mock drafts. Mike Morreale, Adam Kimelman, and Steven Hoffner. If the season ended today the Flyers would have the 11th overall pick.

Morreale and Kimelman both have the Flyers taking Defenseman Darnell Nurse from Sault Ste. Marie of the OHL.

Morreale's skinny: Nephew of former Eagles QB Donovan McNabb is a perfect fit; skates well and can play physical game.

Kimelman's skinny: Big, smart, steady blueliner can talk to uncle, Donovan McNabb about life in Philadelphia.

Hoffner has the Flyers picking Defenseman Ryan Pulock from the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.

Hoffner's skinny: Blueliner leading his team in points; has a lot of offensive upside.

Am I the only one who would view a connection to Donovan McNabb as a negative? Puking on a football field is one thing, but if you puke on the ice, I have a feeling it would require a couple minutes of some nasty clean-up. Nobody wants to deal with partially frozen puke.

Donovan talking to his nephew, "Remember, blame others around you and never take the fall for your mistakes. If you do that, they'll love you in Philly."

I agree that it is a negative. Donovan just didn't go out on a good note considering his last few years here.

On a side note, i puked all over a roller rink once when i was about 10. Playing in a summer league in about 97 degree weather with all the goalie pads on. It wasn't pretty. LOL

Except Pulock would have played 4 years of junior as opposed to Hamilton's 3.

Actually with all the games in hand all of the other teams have over us, we may just end up with a top 5 pick. Sorry to say it but its true.
