They just need to shoot the puck they had a wide open on that 5 on 3 and they were so concerned about getting the puck to Weber that Smith turn his back on a open net

Again, that doesn't matter. A guy can be hunched over with his head around waist level and can still get high sticked.

Too bad they showed nothing after the period ended. I heard an extra whistle and wondered what was going on.

It is beyond frustrating how we can't put a full game together- offense and defense- guarantee if we were shutting them out the score would be 0-0.

Still can't believe we gave up 4 goals in 9 minutes.

We have to win the game for this to be a wakeup call

I saw that. I bet 2/3 of the net was open.

we can't score on quality opponents defensively.. stars goalie looks bad but we're getting chances. love the fights and weber getting angry.

im predicting we lose 6-4 with weber knocking out someone in a fight at the end of the game

Goes without saying this will be a HUGE 3rd period for the Predators. If we can pull this game out it really could be a big wake-up call/rallying point for the rest of the season.

But if we lose....... not so good

I'd love for one or two of our guys to have a Gordie Howe hat trick.

Hannan looks like our worst defenseman right now, and Yip is not an NHL player. Legwand really not playing well, him and Erat both look like junk.

I would throw Fisher into that grouping as well. Looks like your young guys are ready though

yip is the only guy with a chance. farquaad will be lucky to get a secondary assist or even be on the ice while we score

(yip has no shot either)

Weber is the most likely.

Should be a thrilling 3rd period. Can not let in any more goals to have a chance at this though.

Weber, 500th career game tonight.
102 goals, 169 assists. Most goals by a defenseman in the last 8 seasons.
Would love to see him get a few more goals tonight.

So Hornqvist is the victim of a high stick that is not called and then gets a tripping penalty. Hooray refs.
