I would waive Gionta at this point. This guy is easily the worst player on the team. And MT putting 2 guys who haven't had a point in 4 games in the shootout. What an imbecile.

I dont get your post.

The Habs had the killer instinct all night long. When you play against a goalie who could stop 40+ shots and survive two posts, what more could the Habs do?

You cant win them all.

Take the one point, applaud the effort of having outplayed the Senators and move on. Anything else is ridiculous.

*** Therrien! Seriously Gionta on the SO?!
What the hell has he done offensively all season long to show ANY indication of offensive ability?!

I hate when Pierre Houde says Plekanec is GREAT in breakaways and shootouts. He has a lots of them but his percentage is quite poor.

But yes, it's Gionta's fault. Nevermind all that and Price playing it weak in the shootout.
That was pretty terrible. If he's going to deke he's gotta go in faster.

Pretty sure he won tight games before this season. Still, he has a tendency to flub these kind of games but He's top 5 right now and will get better.

You guys always have to find a scapegoat.

First Gomez, now he's gone. Then Kaberle, but he's a healthy scratch. Now Gionta, because, you know, that's how it always ****ing goes.

So predictable.

I thought he had a solid game. Defense played a very strong game, I can't recall any grade a scoring chances for Ottawa. Their best chance was a point shot from Gonchar from like 60 feet.

I agree with you but with Gionta it's an accumulation of things since the start of the season are people and just getting annoyed.

I don't particularly like Gionta but geez guys....Gionta didn't put himself there. Therrien did and that one is on Therrien. Price wasn't good either but he'll never be a great shootout goalie so we better get used to it. Let's hope that one day...they abolish this thing...

Of course it was terrible, but so was much of the shootout. Blaming it squarely on him alone is as dumb as it gets.

Cant blame our lack of effort. We are not a first place team, so that a big road point for us to make the playoffs.

Yep hard to blame Galchenyuk and Plekanec who performes on the ice meanwhile Gionta didn't even get a freakin shot you have zero chance of scoring that.

That was bad choice by Therrien send in Eller or Pacioretty for Christ sake certainly not Gionta

Gionta shouldn't be playing top line minutes nor on the powerplay... He's been just terrible.

Price should've saved the goal in regulation but you won't win many games with one goal...

Ottawa did the same thing to Toronto the other night. Took 2 points when they barely deserved 1. The Cinderella story won't last though.

That game wasn't predictable at all. Meh. Hot goalie, at least we got a point. Still undefeated in regulation in 8 games, that's what I'm taking out of this.

The **** it tried to send my reply to Coldplay's inbox.

This site is ****ed.

Not Gionta's fault, but he seemed to struggle all game long. Puck handling, speed. Might have the flu ?

We needed Bourque. He's pretty beast in the shootout.
