We can only hope.

Can't get rid of it, soon enough.

Things happen. I swear the sens are on something because they are not that good

We should have won but Bishop stole them the game. At least we got a point

Not Gionta's fault, but he seemed to struggle all game long. Puck handling, speed. Might have the flu ?

We needed Bourque. He's pretty beast in the shootout.
I actually thought Gionta looked pretty good for most of the game, set up some nice passing plays with his line, but yeah that was a pretty weak shootout attempt. Looked like he was pressing a bit.

Hoping Bourque gets back soon.

You have to make a difference between scapegoat and just plain sucking. We aren't the one who manages this team, the fact that they are not playing for this team anymore and were having success is a good indication that we were right to criticize those players...

Anyone who gets mad at a player for sucking at the SO is ridiculous. Plekanec is a terrible SO player, all he does is blast the puck as he has neither the hands or the creativity for the SO. Even Patofqc couldn't use that against him though because he's good at enough.

I understand the Gionta fustration more so but that was still Therrien's fault for playing a snakebit player over Eller and Markov, who can outdeke that big lug Bishop like Desharnais did.

Bishop gave us more than just the poist on those chances, he was down and out on the Cole one for sure.

Probably waiting for Bourque to come back... Not much finish on that line.. Gionta sucks and Prust is his other winger...

MT ought to ban dekes in SO.

Chances of losing the puck: zero.

Oh, and Plek in SO? Only if we reach 8th round.

I don't see it. I just don't see what is top 5 about Price's play. Not this season, not last season. Not 3 seasons ago. Maybe in 2010-11. Other than that he's never played at a top 5 level so how can he be a top 5 goalie ? I don't get it.

Gomez wasn't a scapegoat. He was legit horrible. Until his most recent games, his minutes were continually cut in San Jose. They hate him too. Kaberle hate was overdone, but there's a reason he's not playing. Gionta hate is a little overdone, but he's still not very good anymore.

Why not mix up the lines then? That line is effectively a grind line right now (though one that generates shots)

I pointed to the fact that his attempt was bad, and so was Plekanec's, yet somehow the loss falls on Gionta.

Reading comprehension.

I understand your frustration with Price, he definitely let in a weak goal. But he made some fantastic saves in the third period, where the Senators had wide open shooting lanes or ridiculous chances.

The difference for me was how awful he was in the shootout. That last goal looked silly. He will bounce back, he is a better goalie than Bishop. Bishop is just hot right now.

Montreal really does have the worst and best fans in sports.. The teams playing over their heads this season we're 1st in the east and we pick up a point but everyone needs to be traded

As Carey would say Chill out!

Why is everyone calling a goalie who stopped 44 shots and then stopped 4 out of 5 shootout attempts lucky? Give the guy his due. He played an excellent game.

What a tough loss to take.

But we must not forget that we dominated the entire game. If it wasn't from Bishop and a lot a luck, it would have been a complete blowout.

Still need to get that killer instinct we need if don't wanna end like the Pens and Caps against us in 2010 in the playoffs.

Dekes are how to beat a big lump like Bishop. The problem is there's only a few forwards on this team who aren't embarassing at it.

I would have liked seeing Eller get a go.

Not too angry. Habs played well and lost to a team that is playing with the most heart in the NHL right now. Plus, 6-0-2 in the last eight games, picking up 14 points out of a possible 16. I'm not going to cross my arms and pout.

Shootout aside. Canadiens played a hard 60 minutes. Really enjoyed them tonight. The shots were pretty effective.. it wasn't shots to the chest, like they seem to do when they were frustrated.

They were beat by a hot goalie and a bad shootout decision by the coach. Happens. They still haven't lost in regulation since the 6-0 loss vs Toronto.

lol what?

He robbed almost each one of our players at least once.

RDS showed a clip of all the saves he made after TWO periods, he had tons of great saves in it.

The 3 posts might have something to do with it, but yes he did play a strong game.

The play to Plekanec that was nice.
