Sens should not have had 1 point let alone 2 tonight seriously it was painful to watch the lack of luck and finish on this team tonight.

Galchenyuk played good he could have had 2 goals tonight it's a shame, well he is still young he will get there, his explosion is really a thing of beauty not the fastest skater but can explode anytime.

He looks a lot like Marian Hossa.

Even if half the posts went in, it would still have been an above average game for a goalie.

Reading comprehension.
It falls on Gionta because he brings nothing to the table and still gets rewarded with tons of ES, PP and SO time.

There's a difference between a honest player who brings a lot of things but happens to be weak in SO, and a guy who does absolutely nothing good out there, and doesn't even get a shot on net when he could've been useful for his team for the first time in the first 20 games this season.

Gionta is so useless out there... it's not even funny. At least Gomez could skate the puck into the zone. Gionta can't even do that properly.

Yes we lost a point, but we looked amazing. Same effort against any team would not only give you the 2 points 98% of the time, but the score wouldn't even be close.

Win Wednesday and all is forgiven, lose, well....that's another story.

Yup.

Anyway, I'm pretty hot right now and posting on here with all the Gionta drivel is driving me up the wall. I'm out. Tough loss, tough break, need to regroup and play hard again next time.

Sens win again? Props to them. Five in a row with all the injuries is a miracle. No way I thought they could do that.

It's his first bad goal man... He's been making huge saves all around, played more games than any other goalies, has the most wins in the league and he his top 10 in all GAA/SAVPCT

lmao Gionta..I thought Therrien's philosophy was about rewarding the players that deserved it. Having Gionta on the 4 on 3 and shootout was a complete joke. Anyway, only bright side for the sens was Bishop and his posts. That team sucks.

Obviously Bishop played extremely well in making all those saves. Obviously every Hab whose name started with a G (Gallagher, Galchenyuk, and Gionta) was futile in the shootout. Obviously Subban needs a lot of practice in stickhandling. Oh well, the Habs got a point after trailing into the 3rd period, although they should have won. The Leafs gained a point and the Bruins a game in hand. I'm not happy.

1st in wins
5th in GAA
10th in Save%

I'd say he's top 5 or at least near it.

So what exactly does he do?

Gionta needs to hang them up. He is garbage.
++ THIS!

I'm sick and tired of the, he brings leadership and kills penalties BS.
They have others who bring leadership (GORGES in Particular) and they have plenty of fowards who can kill the penalty better than GIO.

Gio is utterly useless on this team.

I'm not one who wants to get rid of Gionta (not yet) but MT must stop giving quality ice-time and chances to him when the game is on the line. Gionta failed to deliver time and time again. It's becoming costly because it diminishes Habs' chances to win.

Teens react the same way: they scream and pout when ONE thing goes bad. That's how this board looks like right now. So they lost the skills competition. They got the tie. Don't care about the skills competition. And, as of tonight, Montreal is still the tops.

They dominated a ton but couldn't bury it behind a very hot goalie. So what. Shlit happens. They will win more than 60% of their games if they dominate the same way.

And blaming Price for the loss is so juvenile. The guy allowed, what, ONE GOAL? You sound like the babies that used to cry when Dryden allowed more than 2 goals, and asked for Larocque to be in net (hello Rejean and Bert). One goal. Like asking you pitcher to NOT lose a 1-0 game.

The skills comp means squat, it's a skills comp. Nothing else. Quit crying and moaning like spoiled brats. The team got a point, bravo. They got the tie.

Me too. Eller has good hands. There are many players I would have chosen before Gionta for the shootout.

What is Gionta's only skill? Speed. That is not of much use in a shootout. His shot is garbage and he has no hands.

I'm sorry but what were the shot totals exactly? Yeah. Senators had no business to be in this game. Habs manhandled the Senators all game, and if it wasn't for a weak goal and THREE posts, not to mention a hot goalie, they would've probably swept the floor with them badly.

31 C. PRICE 23 - 24 .958 65:00

I don't see how you guys are complaining about Price. One on One the shooter has the advantage. Our shooters in the shoot out were terrible.
