That would probably require the Avs lock Patrick Kane in a cab.

hahaha you're probably right. Or, I was thinking we has one of our classic 'show up for the third period and pull a win out of our ***'
Hawks up 5-0 going in to the third, and the Avs win 14-6 with 10 goals from Landy, 3 from Duchene, and 1 from Stastny.

Don't be unrealistic.

Clearly this goal is scored by the Hawks winning a defensive faceoff that ends up going in the net, so they award the goal to Stats.

Eric Cole traded for Michael Ryder. Seems a bit lateral but I guess Montreal gets some flexibility going forward since Ryder is a UFA.

It's really hard to get an idea of what Niewendyk is thinking when he's trading.
Goligoski for Niskanen and Neal
Roy for Pardy and Ott
Eakin for Ribero and 2nd
Cole for Ryder and 3rd

1. Probably didn't think he could re-sign Neal AND Benn long-term, but he probably should've waited for a better deal if the objective was to solidify his blueline.
2. A superpest and fringe defender for a legit scoring line center. What's so hard to figure out?
3. Ribeiro's a punk. And despite his talent, also slow and soft. The Stars got him for nothing because of that, so the fact that Nieuwendyk actually got a worthwhile player in return is a bonus.
4. Allan Muir speculated on the reasoning behind the trade:

I've always been a huge fan of Erik Cole and the way he plays, but I'm not so sure he's got much left in the tank.

Maybe but also the fact that one is a LW and the other a RW?

I wonder if Cole's talk about
possibly retiring and the childish
Puck Gary caps rubbed Montreal the wrong way.
They're all about a culture change in Montreal.

The Panthers are a bad team too but they're still so much more entertaining to watch than the Avs. To be honest I feel like without Varly we're actually the worse team.
The Huberdeau-Shore-Mueller line is really fun to watch.

Kesler out with a broken foot after blocking a shot. He's both injury prone and unlucky.

Down Goes Brown thinks Darcy Regier will be the next front office guy to lose his job, but he seems to think Sherman is on the hot seat as well.
I don't think he's in quite as much hot water as is indicated here, but I won't be surprised if he gets the axe this offseason.

I have a question.
I'm going to the Hawks/Blues game tonight with my brother (who is a Hawks fan). Do I wear my Avs jersey to this game? Or no?

Big no.
I see people do this all the time. I think the idea is "well its a hockey related wear, so its fine"
Maybe if its a general I like hockey sweater or shirt, or something thats related to either states' hockey programs or what-knot then yes wear something like that.

Wear what you want. People put way too much in all the rules about fans and sweaters. You're an Avs fan, aren't you? You're going to a hockey game. Where the hell else you gonna wear a hockey sweater in public?
