With the Rangers just ahead of us in the standings, this game is huge. We're almost at the mid-way point of this short season, time to continue on with our business here and collect the win and 2 points.

So far we're 3-1 on the current road trip, make it 4-1 tonight and that would be fantastic. Then we've got 2 home games against NJ Thursday and Washington Saturday, we have a grand opportunity to keep our foot on the gas and run this streak further here.

Will be a tough test to score goals tonight if the Rangers bring even their B game. Apparently their PP is at a level similar to ours, great news for our penalty kill.

We seem to be hanging with teams 5 on 5, as long as that continues I'm relatively happy.

IIRC.. The Rangers are only team the Jets haven't managed to score a point against yet.... didn't even score a goal at MSG last season.

I think the Rangers can be had however..... if we can come away with a single point.... it would be considered a success.

Absolutely. I would consider a single point a success, for the Rangers and for this road trip.

As others have mentioned, I'm enjoying the games so much more now that I've relaxed a little with my expectations. Not that I don't think we can do it, I'm just trying to be realistic and doing this helps with the indigestion.

According to the Rangers board, Nash is in the pre-game skate with contact jersey and therefore may play tonight.

Jets face another team looking to bounce back after a poor loss; that's 6 times in a row and will be 7 Thurs vs NJ. In today's "bounce back" NHL, I'd rather be facing a team coming off a win.

I'll take Jets 3-2; Little, Kaner and, wait for it Lynk...#6 himself, the Haines.

Wouldn't be surprised with a win here and loss at home on Thursday. Seems to be how this team operates. Still, getting back to .500 will be big considering the form of this team at the start of the month. One game at a time!

Not surprising given that the goal will be to grind the battered Rangers into submission. As much as Welly was pretty much the most valuable player in terms of $/Point, he just looks like he's having a rough time lately. Peluso should be interesting on the third line.

9-3 for the Jets, Hainsey gets 10 goals but they disallow one because they don't have room for two digits of goals on his stats line.

I doubt Peluso lasts too long in that spot, but it'll be nice to see him get a few more minutes.

Speaking of not lasting long, I get the feeling Wellwood will be dealt in the next week or so....

Perhaps Noel will do something similar to last game where he double shifted Kane. He has done it with Wheeler in the past too. If they don't give him help, they are asking Olli to do a lot in carrying the offense for Wright and Peluso.

Maybe, but you can't ask for a more versatile 13th forward.

He can play all 3 positions (LW, C, RW not F, D, G) and on all 4 lines.

Does that make Mittens #14?

We need to play our road game, score on the PP again, and go 100% on the PK. Get the first goal, flex the muscles, and keep up the fore check.

3 - 1 Jets.

Peluso, Slater, and Tangradi with Gordie Howes.

LOL, I feel exactly the same way for both of them. Ollie hasn't really shown us much though.

Ideally, somebody like Thor gets bumped down to 14.

Loving Tony P on the third line!
Not sure how well it'll work but I'm glad the kid is getting a chance!

It would be nice to get a clean 2 points and jump over the NYR in the standings!
