I actually listen to classical music on my drive to the rink. Visualize my game. Then crank up the agro ***** in the locker room or even a few blocks from the rink.

For the agro stuff my playlist has Disturbed, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, etc.

If I listen to agro stuff for too long on the drive it actually wears my ears out.

This has been my pregame music for over ten years:

Summer (Shove It) -- Deftones
Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix) --Rob Zombie
Bad Religion -- Godsmack
I Stand Alone -- Godsmack
Stupefy -- Disturbed
The Sickness -- Disturbed
Remember -- Disturbed
Rollin' -- Limp Bizkit
Pitiful -- Blindside
Beautiful People --Marilyn Manson

Sometimes I'll add in a few others (Rammstein, Chevelle, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, CKY, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Powerman 5000, Prodigy).

I tried listening to classical music a long time ago, but found I stayed to nervous, and then my actual gameplay was to lazy. Hard rock simultaneously calms my nerves and hypes me up. Weird, I know, but it makes sense to me.

I like to listen to what is known as "epic music". If you Youtube that you will find hours and hours of music that basically gives you the feeling of charging into battle. Its quite perfect.

I might need to take those into consideration for tonight. The team we are playing has 300+ PIM in 15 games.

On a different note, a handful of my teammates know that absolutely cannot stand Taylor Swift. A few weeks ago we were carpooling to a game about an hour from where most of us live and the one guy made a mix with Taylor Swift's "Trouble", they also played it in the locker room before the game and since then it's been a habit. We are 5-0 in games where we play Taylor Swift's "Trouble" in the locker room before the game.

I always have Coheed/Cambria's Welcome Home on when I walk into the icehouse and start my pregame routine. By the time that is done, I am ready to lace em up.

Anything Classic Rock... Zeppelin's good for before a game. Mars Volta if I'm feeling something new-ish.

I have an hour long drive to the rink and I like having a routine, so I made a playlist called "When in Doubt" (grind it out):

We Will Rock You (Queen)
Guerrilla Radio (Rage)
Electric Worry (Clutch)
Chelsea Dagger (The Fratellis)
Holwin' for You (The Black Keys)
E-Pro (Beck)
The SOund of Winter (Bush)
Tomorrow Never Knows (version from Sucker Punch)
Sandstorm (Darude)
Panic Station (Muse)
Carry On (Avenged Sevenfold)
Somebody Told Me (The Killers)
Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
The Royal We (Silversun Pickups)
Paralyzer (Finger Eleven)

I like it. Got some hockey classics and goal songs on there. A lot of the time whnever I'm driving a friend who hasn't been to a game before down they compliment the playlsit too.
