With the Rangers just ahead of us in the standings, this game is huge. We're almost at the mid-way point of this short season, time to continue on with our business here and collect the win and 2 points.
So far we're 3-1 on the current road trip, make it 4-1 tonight and that would be fantastic. Then we've got 2 home games against NJ Thursday and Washington Saturday, we have a grand opportunity to keep our foot on the gas and run this streak further here.
IIRC.. The Rangers are only team the Jets haven't managed to score a point against yet.... didn't even score a goal at MSG last season.
I think the Rangers can be had however..... if we can come away with a single point.... it would be considered a success.
Absolutely. I would consider a single point a success, for the Rangers and for this road trip.
As others have mentioned, I'm enjoying the games so much more now that I've relaxed a little with my expectations. Not that I don't think we can do it, I'm just trying to be realistic and doing this helps with the indigestion.
Wouldn't be surprised with a win here and loss at home on Thursday. Seems to be how this team operates. Still, getting back to .500 will be big considering the form of this team at the start of the month. One game at a time!
Not surprising given that the goal will be to grind the battered Rangers into submission. As much as Welly was pretty much the most valuable player in terms of $/Point, he just looks like he's having a rough time lately. Peluso should be interesting on the third line.
9-3 for the Jets, Hainsey gets 10 goals but they disallow one because they don't have room for two digits of goals on his stats line.
I doubt Peluso lasts too long in that spot, but it'll be nice to see him get a few more minutes.
Perhaps Noel will do something similar to last game where he double shifted Kane. He has done it with Wheeler in the past too. If they don't give him help, they are asking Olli to do a lot in carrying the offense for Wright and Peluso.
