I guess if NYR are planning on playing tough, our 3rd and 4th lines are ready for them!

Tangradi - Peluso swap lines half way through?

Jets are rolling a big and heavy 3rd line.

I see this as potentially working:
Peluso was making a little room out there last game
Wright is hard on the puck
This might open up the room for the Joker to weave a little magic and Wright and Peluso might play the Garbage Men.

I want to see how this works out.

Kyle has struggled and so he sits. Peluso can skate and bang as long as he stays composed, in position, and doesn't take any stupid penalties then I am up for giving this a shot but it feels like a stretch at this point. Who knows if Welly is 100% but he seems to be in a funk? Olli is getting his shot on the 1st PP unit so I wouldn't cry too much for him short term. For now LLW, and Kane, Burmi, Antro is working well so that is pushing Jokinen out of the top 6 for the moment.

This is probably Noel providing a little pressure on each of them to play well enough to get a more favorable position. Nothing like a litte incentive to bring your A game.

I hope the Rangers continue to suck and Torts gets fired and Nash continues to avoid the coach killer talk label despite killing many coaches. Imagine if he was Russian.

Asham hasn't played the last 2 games (injury of some sort), so not sure if he's suiting up tonight but if he does he and Peluso could probably put on quite a show. I am happy Peluso is still in the line-up, I hope he plays a simple and smart game, forechecks hard, plays physical, and gives us solid shifts.

Looking forward to this game.

Whoops, hopefully that means Peluso won't feel he has to scrap if Asham is out.

Coach Noel pre-game presser

Prior to the Jets taking on the New York Rangers at MSG Coach Noel met with the media:

Coach Noel – Jets road trip so far. Winning special teams battles. Road travel discussion. Buff in the game. Rangers talk. What has been missing from Kyle Wellwood’s game?

Can't see how Nash would be the coach killer.

1. We were playing amazing with Nash before his injury

2. If Torts goes, it's on him, for using the wrong system for the players on the team

Pens fan coming in peace to say this is one of the better GDTs (OP) I've seen -awesome graphics and layout- and more importantly, stomp the Rags. That is all. Enjoy the game.

And this GDT is one the creator actually apologized for, calling it "nothing special" because he didn't have a lot of time.

You damn Wright.

Noel's a complicated man, and no one understands him but his woman.

Not trying to start a flame war or anything, but just wanted to mention that this season we've seen Grigorenko being sat in the press box, and going off of the Rangers GDT it looks like Kreider could also be a healthy scratch. For the Rangers, they have already used a full season of Kreider just for last years playoffs, and are now in year two and making him a healthy scratch. So two players that are burning up time not playing.

Just a comment when people want to make the case that Cheveldayoff and the rest of the staff have no clue or plan with Scheifele. Yes, the case could be made that he didn't get the best opportunity to perform in his NHL stint this year. But I'm just talking about long term asset and contract management here.

That's true, but who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

How is he a coach killer?

1 Dave King 2001 2003
2 Doug MacLean 2003 2004
3 Gerard Gallant 2004 2007
4 Ken Hitchcock 2007 2010
5 Gary Agnew 2007 2007
6 Claude Noel 2010 2010
7 Scott Arniel 2011 2012
8 Todd Richards 2012 2013
9 Torts 2013 ?

Plus he pouted his way off of a team a put them in a spot where they couldn't sell high. If he was Russian he would be a enigmatic, selfish, coach killer, but he isn't so he just needs better teammates.

In all seriousness I think most coach killer, enigmatic talk is nonsense. I just find the way storylines are manufactured to be amusing.

to me that third line looks like a fourth line. and our fourth line looks like a forth line.

i love james wright, and think hes a decent fit there. but man those two lines are certainly not possesion type lines

my worry is this will cause us to abuse our top 2 lines in terms of minutes and wear them out
