I'm at the point with Thornton not looking like himself I'd be for bringing one of these super goons in. If nothing else so I can stop reading about how much the Bruins need one. Always been a McGrattan fan and he can dress against the Leafs and Sabres and sit in the playoffs and against actually good teams like the Penguins.

Even as a 13th forward it would be great. He's a better option than Pandolfo or MacDermid.

I'd love to see the Leafs pick him up and dress Orr, McGrattan, McLaren and Brown.

McGrattan is pretty much useless. The Bruins already had him and he stayed in Providence.

Thornton has been pretty useless since Scott demolished him I see no problem in getting McGrattan and dressing him for games against Buff, Tor and others.

Wasting a roster spot on a goon that can't skate makes those other teams more likely to beat the Bruins.

The comedy of watching that line try to skate would be hilarious

GAGNE BACK!
The Flyers have acquired LW Simon Gagne from Los Angeles for a conditional 4th round draft pick, previously acquired from Phoenix.

Wouldn't have minded Gagne for that price with only a year on his deal.

And yet they still have no goaltending. It's amazing that a team with such a consistently glaring weakness could continue to ignore it as much as they have.

Need a goaltender? Lets pick up Simon Gagne!

Brian McGrattan on waivers

What do you guys think, we've had him before.

He would definitely make games between Toronto and Buffalo interesting. I say it would be a great day if we did scoop him up.

Their goaltending hasn't been that bad this season. It's pretty obvious that they are going with Bryz, so why not shore up the rest of the squad?

No thanks. I just don't think a goon is what the Bruins need.

A big guy who can bang, play the boards and score a bit or a decent 3-4 d-man is way more important.

Would love this, but I highly doubt Chiarelli does this. And I imagine there's even less chance Julien plays him any significant minutes if Chia did.
