has anyone stripped a meigray jersey. like a training camp or game issued? maybe hollywood with that blistrand? i'm lookin at doin it and i've stripped them before but never with any adhesive so thats what i'm wondering? was there any glue or did you just have to strip the threads?

I have had the jerseys stripped but I do not do them personally. I send them to a guy that posts on the icejerseys forums. It costs $30 but i've never had a major problem.

I stripped down a Meigray game issued Walker (orange 2.0, '10-'11). Everything was heat pressed before sewing, but not extremely. They peeled off pretty easily once the threads were cut. There was a little bit of glue residue on the very outside of the sleeve numbers, but that came off with Goof-Off.
I would imagine it depends on how long they heat press for, but to answer your question, yes, there is adhesive.
So I sent four items to Meigray to be authenticated:

Brayden Schenn Game-Used Skates
Sean Couturier Game-Used Pants
I had my hunches going in that the skates could have possibly been worn in the Winter Classic, even posted in this thread asking to see if other people saw the marks. I also thought that the Couturier pants were worn in his NHL Debut and scored his first NHL goal in them. Both of my hunches proved to be true and I couldn't be happier. Here are my photo LOA's:
Went to the phantoms game last night. They were auctioning off the retro style jerseys they were wearing. I had bids on my main dude (Noebels) and one of my wife's favorites (Lilja). some dude came up started a bidding war on Noebels. just as it was almost at my max guy who was bidding me goes "How high you going" so I figured I'd try and "scare" him. I was like "I'm going for blood" dude goes ok. picks then pen up and jumps it from $300 to $550 I was like its yours. so then I went to Lilja to complete my bidding there. Would up only going up once and got it for $400. They took the jerseys right off their back signed them and brought them up to us. After a few minutes they took whomever waited around down to the lower area to make a "High Five Tunnel" we were able to stand there and as the players went by they stopped signed auto's and talked with a few people. The autograph collector in me was pissed I wasn't prepared cause the entire team walked by me I could have made a nice piece. Noebels came up to me because I was wearing his jerseys that I had done up. We chatted for a few and he was like so did you win mine. I was like sadly no some guy wanted it more. He was like oh well next time. Was really cool he was chatting for like 5 mintues with us. He then went to the bus. Lilja came out, who's jersey I won. I asked him to sign the photo that they gave us with the jersey. It was just his headshot on a piece of cardboard. He signed took a few pics and even chatted with us. He is such a down to earth guy and REALLY awesome. I'll post pics of it later. but I wanted to share my story.
I really liked Lilja when I talked to him at the carnival last year. Was by far the nicest guy I had sign the Mega Ticket. Extremely personable.
yeah he picked my son up for the pic. was talking to him asked him whats his fav part of the game. he then turned to my son like come on you want to come help us beat the bears tomorrow? you can ride the bus with the team. and started fake walking away lol
So I have a blank black KOHO jersey(00/01-03/04) that's been sitting around waiting to get customized and I figured now would be the perfect time to get Gagne. Some people on here helped me a year ago figure out where to get it customized...I think it was called Ruperti's? I can't seem to find it anymore tho so maybe I'm spelling it wrong? Any help?
Also does anyone know if Gagne ever was the Alternate captain with that jersey? I don't remember him having it but just wanna make sure.

Very nice. I had the opportunity to buy his Set One today but passed on it since according to the set dates he'll only be wearing it for 5 more games. I'll wait for the Set Two so it's worn in more games and I can see how Gagne is used by Lavi.

The Coots pants were purchased at one of the skate zone sales awhile back, the Skates were bought at the most recent equipment sale, the Schenn Phantoms jersey I bought at the Skate Zone during the Phantoms camp in September, and the Coots jersey I bought in an auction by the Phantoms.
You must post pictures of it when you get it. Would love to see the repair of the ripped sleeve from Monday night's fight.
Will do, they told me they ordered Mcginn another home set so the jersey I'm getting is done for the year. It's possible I could get the jersey unrepaired.
