Trent Reznor Announces the Return of Nine Inch Nails: Extensive Touring for 2013 and 2014
Nine Inch Nails are touring this year.
I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked - which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows.
The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.
Be nice to see them live, but their live shows don't compare to the self-destruct tour back in 1994. Trent isn't 24 anymore either though. But man, could they put on a live show back then.

haha ya...gonna be weird seeing a 60 year old rocking out to Closer
Belew can keep up..guys an amazing guitar player and still innovative.
Remain In Light...all of the solos, 80s Crimson stuff, his work with Zappa, playing with Les Claypool, solo work, The Bears, and I believe he played on The Downward Spiral. He's the least to be worried about.
We're not talking about technical proficiency, it's the intense physicality of a NIN show; smashing equipment and leaping off of amp stacks. Even the latest set of shows were still somewhat manic. Seeing an old man up there will be a little unusual.
I saw them in Pensacola several years ago. Great show. I just hope whatever new material comes out is better than the craptastic b-sides Reznor was pawning off to fans over the interwebs.

you mean the ones that he was giving away for free and the ones he was telling his fans to just steal instead of buying them?
