Same here and it is not because of our WHL biased. Jones has taken advantage of all the spots he has been in, MacKinnon has not.

What would Barkov have to do in his few remaining games (6 regular season games & playoffs & possible WC / WJC18) of this season in order to be drafted 1st overall?

Fly overseas and severely injure Jones, Mackinnon, and Drouin. Especially Jones.

If my Isles had 1st pick I would want them to take Jones....Just makes to much sense

Same here! Really hard choice, don't know if I'd take Jones or MacKinnon or even Drouin. Might be a matter of the 1st OA team's need.

Don't think you are off-side here... think Barkov could be the best player when all is said and done out of this Draft... NHL-quality at everything...

You could probably argue that Drouin makes sense too. You guys drafted all dmen last draft including Reinhart and maybe they'd get Drouin to play LW with Tavares. That'd be stupid good. But Jones would fit very well too. Give a really good balance of talent on both ends of the ice.

Drouin, easily.

He is from Ste-Agathe, my childhood. Enough for me.

Kid is real. And I'm the furthest from those kind of Habs fans who want french player. I couldn't care less if we haven't one single player who speak french, seriously, I watch hockey because I love the sport, I do not need to relate to the player at all... But if the Habs had the 1st overall, they couldn't really take Jones or Mack over Drouin, wouldn't make sense.

Jones. He's the franchise defenseman.

I'm not sold on Mackinnon yet.
Drouin, although skilled, is small, and thus I think there's questions about whether his game translates.
Barkov is European, and hasn't done enough to get far enough ahead of the other three to be taken first.

But for real though, I was doubting him all year long....... and then I actually saw him during the Top Prospects practice. And while I understand that it was just a practice, and a meaningless one at that, it was enough to convince me.

I don't get to watch many games, if any here in the UK as they're virtually non-existent online. I watch highlights every now and then and keep track by that.

I would take Drouin #1, #2 at the lowest. His peak is something along the lines of Claude Giroux's season last year. Players who are this exceptionally gifted in skill and vision are very rare to come across.

I take Drouin, but let's be honest - if you have a top 3 pick in this draft can you really go wrong? Someone is getting a 'steal' at number 3.

Drouin could be the next Patrick Kane. Jones and McKinnon are safer picks.

Unless it's a draft that includes a guy like Crosby, I'll always side with the defenseman in these kinds of debates. I really like what the other forwards can bring, but if I'm building a franchise, Jones is perfect for what I would want to build around.

its a win either way but the reason I said Jones would make so much sense is because of the Brooklyn connection with his father. He is a face that could reach a bigger fan base than most in brooklyn...

Also if everyone reaches thier potential

Reinhart-Jones would be the new Suter-Weber imo

but Drouin I wouldnt mind being the wing for Tavares but he would ave to play his off wing becasue the Isles are not Touching Moulson on that left side....

Interesting to see Drouin with 1/4 of votes, this will be a very interesting draft....top 5 is insane!

QFT! Honestly, the entire top10 seems stacked. Lindholm is one sick talent and he's expected to go, what, #9? Damn do I wish the Rangers had a top10 pick this year

Picked Jones based solely on the viewing at the WJC (what a stud!), though my guess is you can't go wrong in the top10 (Even though I know some of them will probably bust, just can't see it happening).
