No such thing as a lazy player under Julien.

We didn't send him packing, he was UFA.

Helping them how? By showing them that you can put little effort and still collect the same money at the end of two weeks?

Habs get:
1. valuable cap space as the cap is lower next year
2. unmotivated 33 year old with a long contract
3. a much young and cheaper sniper in Ryder

What a highway robbery! :lo:

Issue is if you don't trade Cole soon and he doesn't rebound it might be impossible to move him for anything more than a goon.

Couldn't there be a package of a 2nd and two 3rd's for a 1st or something? Two 1st's would be absolutely perfect.

When they'll face a team that really hits them, they'll fold like a deck of cards.

Several good years with Boston. Has a cup and killed us in the 1st round when we faced them the year they won the cup.

Very possible.

For all we know, if Bergevin is willing to move a guy like Cole off a 35 goal performance, guys like kaberle must be available too, maybe some team will pay with a mid pick. Perhaps i'm just overly optimistic.

Look at Ryder's playoff stats then look at Cole's. Cole never performed in the playoffs.

Solid pick up...I can now break out my Ryder Jersey again LOL...he is a much much better player now and has a very solid all around game. and the 3rd round pick is such a bonus. Now lets find a home for Gionta.

Have you seen Cole play this year? He just skates around without purpose and loses puck. You ever heard of cap space? The cap goes down too.

Bergy has a plan for the future and got us a cheaper and younger guy and a 3rd pick.
