I know it doesn t get fantasy points but I thought it was a decent play overall considering if he doesnt the Bruins probably lose the game the series and we dont have a parade but hey....he sucked after game 4 (although I'm sure i'll learn it was his man that took the shot and he was out of position)
Dan...You crack me up

I still stand by my comments when Savard got hit by Cooke and Ryder was the only one to see the play and did nothing.

Ryder is dead to me.

And I was a Ryder guy up to that point.

Nobody said ya have to be perfect. But I want someone who competes in both regular and playoffs. Ryder isn't that. How many posts did he hit while here? He's lazy in that aspect. I don't care. Everyone is overreacting that he's with the scabs now. Its hilarious. We'll be fine. We'll get an upgrade.

yup but the proof is in the pudding and we can see how this works out front and center; Ryder comes back this weekend so we can watch him in action torch da Bruins

what will be hilarious atleast to me is if Ryder gets the winner or has a great game to see all the panic on this board at 10:30 Sunday night- they'll be that NY Yankees get an All-Star at every position cry

poor Chris Bourque this trade is not going to be good for him on this board

Agreed. Folks banking on Calgary trading Iginla for Caron and a draft pick are going to be left dissapointed. The B's are an injury away from plugging in Jay Pandolfo into a top-9 role.

Do not want to see the Habs in the playoffs now. Ryder is 4-0 in Bruins-Habs series, 2-0 with each team.

edit: my dog is named Ryder, is it wrong to change the name of a 4 year old dog. You think he can catch on to a new name.

great deal for the habs...not sure what the hell the stars are doing.
Also not entirely certain what the point of this deal is for the habs as offense was not really an issue for them and they were playing really well.

Do you have eyes bro? Ryder was the only one to go after him. He didn't mug him or anything but he did give him a shot and went after him until he was separated by a couple of other ****tsburgh players. I'm sure he was real dead to you when he scored 2 goals to bring the Montreal series back to Boston all tied up.

I agree no one is panicking here, but to be fair you are the one with the dark forboding predictions of what will happen if we face Ryder and Habs in playoffs.

yup have eyes bro. two of them actually.

I did see him do nothing. he was the only one of the Bruins on the ice behind savard and saw the entire play and did nothing but skate up to cooke and hold his hand.

I appreciated him for what he did during the cup run for sure I always want the Bruins to win but as far as wanting him back in a Bruins uniform. No thanks.

if they did get him back would I cheer for him. Yup

The Logo is bigger then any player in my book but that doesnt mean I can't not like the player alone.

Would I ever not want a Bruin to do good while they are a Bruin. Nope. Hell if we got Cooke I would want him to play well as a Bruin. Does that mean I like him. HELL NO!

see the difference?

word coming out of Dallas is Ryder has vowed to slay the Bruins in the playoffs and will wait it out till its on their (ours) home ice

in all seriousness, when the Bruins sucked donkey chunks about 5 years ago, they used to give out all these tacky but funny posters going in to the Garden and I remember my kid grabbing about 10 Night Ryder posters- since we dont throw out **** I know I have them somewhere

I was hoping we'd trade for him as well; now we have to root against him. I hope we don't face him in the playoffs, he won't have much trouble picking on Tuukka's weakness of corner snipes.

Looking back not re-signing him was a mistake, cap spac east been that much of an issue the last couple years but Gainey obviously likes Cole and if he was looking for a roster player there is little Chia could do without creating another hole.

why would you change his name? Ryder is a cool name. He's been a hab before, he got traded there now. I'd be surprised if he stayed with the habs for longer than season's end. He's still a Boston cup hero. Stick with the name!

I don't like this because I don't want players I really like on the habs. But I sincerely hope that he gets a big ****ing cheer when he returns to the garden. he earned it.

Cole looked terrible at any salary let alone that bloated contract. Rene Bourque is out with a concussion so depth could be an issue up the Northway . . .so lets wait on the looting and burning of downtown Montreal and the subsequent parade for a time.
