Is today not 4/3/13? I thought we were at the trade deadline, and that HUGE Ryder/Cole swap was out of nowhere!
J/K
You're right. It might get the wheels turning. If anything, it shows that some GM's are not afraid to make deals now, whereas before they were apparently wanting to "wait and see" what they had in their respective rosters.

The only player I can see in a "back to Avs" situation is Liles. And I don't really see that happening. Avs aren't particularly nostalgic.

Unless it's the 2007-08 season and you're Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote.

Mike Keane, Peter Forsberg, Adam Foote, Stephen Yelle, Scott Parker, Dale Hunter (sorta if you count Quebec days) and as Av-merican said Serge Aubin.

Yes he was...they also gave Curtis Leschyshyn a one-year contract in 2009 but he retired just prior to opening night.

Apart from Liles, there aren't that many ex-Avs that would be suitable.
Tanguay
Vrbata
McCormick (passed through waivers)
Boychuk
Yip
Galiardi
Stewart
I've excluded the completely unrealistic (Winnik, McClement, Shattenkirk).

Then, shalt thou post to 1000, no more, no less.
1000 shalt be the number thou shalt post, and the number of the posting shalt be 1000.
1001 shalt thou not post, nor either post thou 999, excepting that thou then proceed to 1000.
1002 is right out.
Once the number 1000, being the thousandth post, be reached, then closeth thou thy thread."
Uhm... PSSST... the last thread went to 1002! ITS THE END OF THE WORLD!! THE MAYANS WERE OFF A FEW OF MONTHS!!!

Liles would be a great fit for this team is he was available. He was such a good locker room guy and a great community guy.

- Just because you are a character doesn't mean that you have character.

If nothing else, this situation has taught me the difference between hardworking and character once and for all.
