Sure beats the Isles/Sabres/Bolts guy (whoever it was) that announced an acheivement by Chris Huggins

And from what i remember reading about Russian (not sure where from though), they don't emphasise the first syllable of the name, but (i think) the second. And the end of Kovalevs name would be pronounced 'iev'. So it would be ko-VAL-i-ev. Chances are im wrong on this but maybe someone who actually has a clue about Russian can correct me

Of course, lots of names are pronounced differently in their native tongue to how 'english' speaking commentators would imagine. Plekanec (plek-a-nets) for example. Another example being Arturs Irbe. Lots of people pronounce his surname 'er-bay' when it should be pronounced 'e-err-B'.

Anyways, quality stuff with the original post thief50, i assume. I'm at work at the moment so can't watch them, but will do once i get home. Can't wait now.

Pierre Houde on RDS pronounces it ko-val-i-ev and Plek-a-nets.
and i remember him always saying e-err-B.

You can just go to NHL.com and get any players highlights for the whole year.

Putfile is the best because youtube recompresses and shrinks the videos.

open one of those links..and leave it open for 10 minutes see if it loads.....It took like 2 minutes for the bégin one to load.

And good job Thief50. I guess that download manager came in handy .

Great job! Damn does Plekanec score some nice goals, Perezhogin looks to be the most excited player after scoring.
