Welp... Aside from Cally and Miller that was a real poop show.

I've got my finger on the panic button... Ready to push.

We have far too many non-NHLers on the roster, and Miller and Kreider belong in Hartford learning the game (I like both as prospects, but Miller seems unused to the pace of the game even though he shows some good instincts, and Kreider needs to get back to what we saw in the playoffs last year, and he ain't goin' to do it playing with Brandon Mashinter and /or Boyle).

I really think we should begin to look to next year. And I agree we need to buy out Richards in the off season, and maybe trade Gaborik at the deadline for prospects/picks. And trade Bickel, Boyle and a 5th for nobody. It would be an improvement.
I agree with most of this. The prospects belong in Hartford. A cup this year is unrealistic but all we have to do is make the playoffs and see what happens.

Torts benching of Kreider in a one goal for entire period is just stupid.
Hank sucked tonight again every rebound was back into the slot not excuse for that..
Boyle is a wastes not seen since Willie Huber
Gabby and Richard flat out awful all night
Powe is a wrecking ball but he has Roberto Duran hands

The good
Callahan was awesome
Girardi is warrior like no other guy is a star

I'm getting tired of the game long benchings too.

That's how a fricken 2 year old would handle things.

Yep. After listening to that, I think I found who I want to replace Amirante when he retires.

In truth, I hate when they sing the anthem like its a rap song, a rock song, or a jazz riff. Nothing better than the anthem in Montreal with Roger Doucet (I think that was his name) doing the Star Strangled Banana and the Canadien anthem in French - I know the words in French as well, but I don't have the voice.

Great job, they need to bring this guy back.

Man that 4th goal was so deflating. Got in early tonight, and when the little in house pregame show said Del Zotto was also a scratch the crowd let out a groan. You could almost see everyone thinking about the defensive pairings in their heads.

Cally was insane tonight, also props to Girardi for being out there. Did Kreider kick Tort's dog at the dog walk this summer?

Honestly, rewatching the game, I think this one wasn't that bad. I think we started to find our game toward the end. Depleted D and off-par Lundqvist cost us this one.

then again, we have 3 goals in 4 games from our forwards. 2 of those came from Ryan Callahan. The other from Pyatt.

Richards and Gaborik are really pushing it here.

During and after the games, I like to pick up on the minutia of the player's awareness levels and the overall play of our boys. Last time I asked if anyone else noticed Bickel's improved confidence in his puck handling ability.

From this game, I see a huge negative in Taylor Pyatt's game. He is a very weak player along the boards on the cycle.
Weak meaning not physical strength or balance wise, but his board play is very bad, to say the least.

He needs to be much more frugal with the puck on the boards, it seemed like every time he tried to cycle to his line mate, the puck would get intercepted, combined with his lack of footspeed, is a disaster waiting to happen...any insight, thoughts, opinions would be appreciated. I know he got his 4th goal of the year, but he has been VERY unimpressive recently.

The guy needs to learn how to pass and cycle much better to be an effective player for us. If it was Dubinsky in for Pyatt, I feel like the overall make-up of our team is completely different.

Dubinsky was a powerful skater, with great puck protection in close, and a good cycle. I notice the kids are struggling, Gaborik seems disengaged, and Richards is too hesistant because he know he will get out-muscled and crushed on the boards. Surprisingly, Nash, Powe, Callahan, Hagelin, Halpern are our best "Puck protection" players.

That's great. I am interested in how you see anything really good about Bickel.

The truth is that the Rangers would be better if there was no possibility of dressing him, and hoping once again that he would be okay.
You have only to watch Eminger to know who is better, but I knew that last year, and just thought I would be ultra-patient against my better judgement, and see.
My first judgement was correct. Get rid of Bickel and do the team a favour.

Playing half the game is the best we can get. Messing with he kids, playing Kreider 4:22. Send him to Hartford.

Also, after Cally's monster defensive shift, blocking 2 shots, throwing 2 hits, and knocking the puck out of the zone all without a stick, I figured our guys would rally behind such effort.

And their response was disgusting. Their captain going out and doing THAT, and they pull that ****.

Pyatt's boardwork has been one of his strongest suits throughout his career. Guess this must've been an off game for him.
