Wow, Blades continue their 16 game win streak.
Did not expect this with the start they had.

If you watched that sportsnet special on them, you would have seen it coming.

He stepped up on a kid after they took a run at Keegan Lowe. He cleaned their clock.

He now has 34 goals. Eight games left. Could he get forty? Big game tonight against Portland. Tri City has beaten both the Oil Kings and Portland back to back.

They are feasting on the dregs of the Eastern division, with a large number of home games.

Being an OK season's ticket holder and seeing the majority of their home games and listening to most of the rest I am quite biased, but is Lazar not exactly what the Oilers need? Tough, gritty, hard working, hard hitting player than can score some goals!

You know what though? Good teams beat teams they should beat. Don't be fooled by the division... The Blades are a pretty deep team that took a while to get it together. They beat Calgary last night in the Saddledome to finish off a back-to-back and a 3 game road trip. 17 in a row.

Home games... whatever. That just means they played more on the road in the beginning of the year.

I'm sure we'll be seeing you guys in the playoffs.

Who was the guy upset by a three-game slide again? This team is likely to get that Portland rematch in the final series again, unless someone upsets Portland in the west, which could happen as they have a couple of really good teams out there. I fully expect the OKs to emerge from the east again. They're primed.

Hey, anything is possible. However, this team rolled through last year until running up against Portland in the WHL final. This team is stronger than last year, with arguably the best defence and goaltending in the league.

You are correct, in that upsets are always possible. Bring it!

Why are you here if your just going to sit here and talk ****?

Huge win for the OK's. Beating Portland is no joke.

Portland and Kelowna will be the two big threats out of the West.

If Saskatoon could beat Edmonton just once this year then maybe you would have a point.............

Now that my seven playoff seats are purchased, I can let others know of this great deal. Cost is $99 per seat for the Kings' entire playoff run. I booked this morning with Daniel and got seven seats at the OKs attacking blueline, bottom of the upper bowl. Lower bowl is not available for this sweet deal. I don't know if it's permitted to give Daniel's number so PM me and I'll put you in touch. He'll get you the best seats available.

The Oil Kings are a phenomonal hockey club, but getting out of the conference is no guarantee. Saskatoon has won 17 in a row after a slow start, have great depth at both forward and defence as well as Makarov tending the net. The Hitmen beat us in something like 5 of 6 meetings this season. PA has slumped a bit down the stretch but remain nonetheless a dangerous club. Are the OK's the favourite to represent the east in the finals? Yeah, no doubt. Is it by any stretch of the imagination going to be a cakewalk? Nope. Even a lower seed team such as the Ice that we could potentially meet in the first or the second round could reasonably give us a serious run for our money.

Oil king domination last night with a 7-1victory
Lazar with a Gordie Howe hattrick. The kid has really turned it on lately. Still hoping the oilers go after him

Moroz is a quick skater, has nice hands for a coke machine, is willing to throw down, hits hard, but has almost no finish. He seems to get down on himself sometimes and the consequences of this are never good.
Ewanyk is tough as nails, a good fighter, willing to stick up for teammates, great checker, but provides little offense.
Musil seems to look a little better every game but his skating is suspect. He's been quite good in a shutdown role, and has shown a little bit of offense. He seems like quite a cerebral player.
Gernat started off slow after coming off of injury, but appears to have picked it up at both ends. It's hard to rate what he's done this year being a small sample size and trying to back off of a long layoff.

Lets hope so. We need a big playoffs from him and the whole top 6 if we want to make it too the mem cup.

The Oil Kings continue their last leg of the 8 game road trip tonight against the Pats. Hopefully we can give them payback for stealing the win from us last time.

Predicting a big game from lazar 2 goals and an assist. Also time for Ewanyk to hit the scoresheet again. GO OIL KINGS GO!

Oil Kings can also clinch 1st place in the East if they win, and Calgary can not mustard up 2 points tonight.

Pats score to make it 1-0. They are all over the Oil Kings.
