i just giggle. Thats what happens when you are so bad for so long.
Once the "tough" act wears off, you are left with a very average team.
But the habs have to prove that they can play against them. They dont match up well against them, especially at home. Kinda like the complex the Rangers have against the habs.

yea, but even if we lose, we should enjoy the false hopes it creates in the leaf fans heads. it's been a treat watching that fanbase rile themselves up every year at some point when they go on a streak, and think "this is the year" (for leafs, it's the POs) only followed by sweet disapointments

Sundin with a selfish play, loses the puck, Brian Leetch braindead, forgetting to cover his man and Roenick of all people going in for the goal. After all the Leafs for the cup talk nothing amused me more than seeing their two HOF heroes laying a brick.

It was a crazy sequence, that is what I'll say.
You can look at it that way, but Sundin did make a stupid play, he should have just dumped it in instead of skating into the 3 defenders. Leetch wasn't "brain dead" He went to cut off the puck and try and keep it in, it bounced over his stick right to Roenick and the rest was history.

Of the 26 players who played at least one game for the Leafs in their last playoff appearance, 4 are still in the NHL. (Kaberle, Ponikarovsky, Antropov, Stajan)
I really want to face the Leafs in the 1st round (if they make the playoffs), whether it is a 1st vs 8th or 4th vs 5th match-up. Would be sooo great for about everybody, except maybe for the mods

On the side of playing hockey we have more chances to win.
Debatable, we didn't win the last two on fighting alone.

But, I am not going to fight on the habs board..... I just wanted to come over and say have a good game fellas.....Here's hoping we can be at each others throats all regular season and into the playoffs too, for years to come. It's good hockey, when both teams are top of their game.

seriously, what kind of idiot names a team the "Maple Leafs" (not not Leaves as it should be) and then paicks blue and white as the team colours? Shouldn't they be green or at least red?
When they were first established in the 20's, they were green. But idiots changed it.
