Geno's accent and his way with English are 2 of the many things that make him awesome.

Besides, if I wanna hear a perfect interview in English I'll listen to Crosby.

This convo has gotten quite a bit off track. Since it was said he wasn't going on the road trip and been put on IR, has there been any other updates?

Memory loss was earlier this week, and then today Disco said that Malkin is just resting, he's not allowed to do any physical activity. Rossi said that both he (Rossi!) and the team expected him to return next week.

Thus ends the update.

Now for opinion: not sure "back next week" and "no physical activity" jive with each other, but I've been wrong before.

My opinion is that he plays on Saturday in Montreal.

Got to love it when Rossi is a better source for information about Malkin than the coaching staff. This tweet, heaven help me, confirms it.

EDIT: Mo, I was talking about who's been more accurate about status and what comes next, Rossi or Bylsma. Rossi saying expect him next week made the announcement from the team a confirmation, again, that Rossi was the clearest source of information about Malkin. O'k, now I have to go vomit . . .

Penguins center Evgeni Malkin skated back in Pittsburgh today for 30 minutes and was symptom free, head coach Dan Bylsma said following today's practice in Florida.

Except that was released by the team, not Rossi.

Do all players have to go through all these steps when they get concussion's or just star players like sid and geno? Whenever Aaron Asham gets a concussion I dont recall him ever having to go through these steps

All players. There is just more pub when its a player of Crosby or Malkin's ilk.

Good. He should be back next week. I'm not sure what their rule is, but my doctor told me I have to be symptom free for a week before returning to sports. So as long as skating isn't bothering him he should be back soon!!

Except now he will have an excuse for making the no look pass that does right to the opposition creating an odd man break the other way.

lol Yeah, he does that a lot. Still remember when he did that dandy move against the Habs in the playoffs a few years back... to his imaginary teammate. Damn, he has to stop playing imaginary!

Also, am i the only worried this is happening too sudden? I don't mind him taking a few weeks off to be certain.. heck a month. I guess if he's feeling well, he's feeling well. We just seen guys come back right away and ... well I'm saying no more.

Lets give him a back to work present. That guy in Toronto on his wing would be nice.

I know he meant Kuly, but considering what TOR gave to get Kessel, you're going to overpay to get him out of there IMO. I don't dislike Kessel as much as some people but I don't think he'd be a great fit to be honest. With what we'd have to pay we could probably get both Seto and Coyle from MN.

Now back to your regularly scheduled recooperating Russian Superstar.
