You can guess what colour they wore.

Trivia: What do Alexei Ponikarovsky, Tomas Kaberle, Nik Antropov, and Matt Stajan have in common?

They are the last remaining active NHLers to play in a playoff game in a Maple Leafs jersey.

I think I could find something else they have in common

Habs rarely brawled the Bruins, doubt anything happens this game.

According to a poll on their board the Habs are the leafs #1 rival! The leaf were far behind the bruins when we had a similar poll

Should be a good game though after the debacle last time...

Once the "tough" act wears off, you are left with a very average team.

But the habs have to prove that they can play against them. They dont match up well against them, especially at home. Kinda like the complex the Rangers have against the habs.
I don't think you can expect this "act" to wear off any time soon... you think the current forward group is tough? Wait til all the big boys who can crash and bang come up. I'm hoping for a nice rough game with a few tills

I'm hoping for a nice clean game with multiple goals being scored on Scrivens, couldn't care less about fights.

If I recall right, they were 1st in the East avec 30ish games last year. At that moment, they were the best team in the wolrd, had absolutely no luck (their wins were only because of their pure talent) and had the best players you could get.

Guess how it ended

Leafs toughness are from dime a dozen players that find themselves on waivers every season...

As much as we hate the Bruins, I don[t think anyone here would deny they have 'actual' toughness instead of a 'act'. This would involve actual core pieces (Lucic, Chara) with 'truculence'.

The difference between the mentality's of our two teams... rough =/= dirty. You can play a clean rough game, something the leafs have been doing this year.

I think you have a bit of a point, but teams can easily play past intimidation if they simply choose to stick to playing their game. One of the best things the Leafs have going for them right now is obviously the physical game, but Montreal has adapted to playing teams like Boston. They've gotten used to the way the Bruins muck it up and have successfully avoided it. I think it just takes some time for the adjustment to be made. Clearly, the Habs haven't gotten used to the new look Leafs, which could cause problems tonight, but by seasons end, I don't see Montreal falling for the intimidation and the goading into fights/scrums.

If only Gionta hadn't maliciously concussed their star goalie, things would be so different

Well, the guy has a sucker punch as his avatar picture, so....... you know.

It's funny though, reading the Canadian media going all Jack Edwards about the Leafs is really feeding their bandwagon fans.

O.K easy already about one game. Canadiens won 5-0 on Sundin's Night in Toronto last season.
