At least it will give the Habs an occasion to showcase Kaberle and Weber.

Give Webber a shot. Worst case, we showcase him for a trade.

Colton Orr must have gave Diaz some super secret invisible Phantom punch.

Just heard this. What the hell? Damn. Hope neither Diaz or Bourque are out too long, like Gally.

I would do:

Subban - Gorges
Markov - Bouillon
Kaberle - Emelin

So what does his point shot have to do with his defence? I am asking a lot from some people here I guess.

weren't you the one that said feeding the puck to Emelin is useless cause he can't score...

plus

one goal against in the last 7 games speaks volumes about his defence

One goal in 20 games speaks volumes about this amazing shot you seem to love, off a deflection to boot. I guess we should feed him all night so he can get another goal in 20 games, superstar might get 4 in the eason.

Playing with Markov will help anyones stats which is all you care about. Him causing penalty shots and taking penalties was also great tonight. If you watched the game you would notice him being a liability, his defensive game is remarkably weak, he is a bottom pairing dman when he isn't being carried by Markov.

actually I was wrong about my last statement. An inside source told me that Diaz got concussed from the force of the air on Orr's follow through when he sucker punched Boruque.

Man the habs are soff.

Why are you slagging Emelin here in the injury thread? He's a hard-hitting big defenceman with a powerful and accurate shot and he's only in his second NHL season. Led the league in hits playing on a team that had been considered soft. Wait why am I defending Emelin here in the injury thread? Guy does not need defending.

Any timetable for Diaz or Bourque's returns?

Playing with Markov probably helps Emelin, but he is a pretty good d-man in his own right.

Let him play more than 5 seconds on the PP and then you'll see what he's really capable of. Neither Martin nor Therrien seems to see his offensive potential, but it will emerge eventually.

We need our blueline completely, absolutely decimated to the point Alex Henry is called up from the AHL before anyone can recognize his offensive potential because Emelin didn't even get PP time over St-Denis last year and Bouillon is currently on the 2nd wave instead of him. .

Not to mention with Markov forcing him to fetch the puck on the boards risking being hit more (right now Emelin fetches puck regularly and takes the hits).

We need his energy concentraded in running people over, clearing the slot and playing good defense moreso than on the PP. Bouillon is more than adequate on the 2nd PP.

Other teams see this and have started to make plays with concentration of pressure on Markovs side.

Emelin also gets crossed up with Markov on rush plays against them into the zone. I know he has said he has no trouble playing on his opposite side but I believe it still effects him.

That said Emelin should get PP time over Bouillon and I hope one day soon that happens He does have an underrated slapshot and does a decent job getting it through.

Yeah i have no problem with Bouillon on the PP, I just think that Emelin would excel if given the chance.
