God, Gainey I hope this isnt true!!!!

The Habs have offered to send Souray to the Red Wings for Robert Lang. The Habs would like a prospect to be included. The name that has been mentioned is Hulder. The Kings have also expressed interested in Souray, and so have the Sharks.

If you trade Souray, fine, but PLEASE, get someone better than Lang!!!!!!!!!!!

Souray is done, there is no way Gainey is going to pay 4+ mil for Souray . Yes salaries were out of whack for D man this summer, but I would be shocked if both Rivet and him start together in a hab uniform in a year .

RDS on Saturday . Interview with Sheldon Souray at his ball hockey tournament with Martin Brodeur

INTERVIEWER : What about rumors saying you want to be traded to be closer to your daughter ?

SHELDON SOURAY : That's Bu-lSh-t ! Of course I want to be close to my daughter but I never asked for a trade and I wouldn't want to leave Montreal.

Enough with the Souray rumors already

Yeah, its like beleiving whats said on the street...example: they tell you shrinking is possible...but you ask the doctor himself..if it is..and he replies you no. Who to beleive?

If Souray said it himself...all these rumours= waste of time.

Wait.
I'd just like to point out that Souray not asking for a trade dosent mean Gainey would not trade him.
It's not a comment on the validity of the rumour. Just something that's bugging me.

He's the new Eklund and just as reliable therefore, whatever he/she says is gospel to most of the fans on the Habs board.

Actually, he's predicted several signings so far this off-season, and nailed a bunch of deals at the trade deadline.

He's much more reliable than Eklund. Then again, so's the Magic 8-Ball.

Actually, Code can be pretty reliable for anything other then Canadiens information, he's admitted it himself.

I wouldnt call a player who put 62 points in 72 games as a 2nd liner worthless. Not that I think they would trade him for Ribeiro anyhow ...

Gainey's only in over his head for contract negotiations... not trades. I wouldn't worry too much.

Thats because the Canadiens management is the toughest in the league in terms of leaks. They don't have a media ***** in their management group that leaks info like most teams do.

Pierre Lacroix's management group in Colorado was also very tight-lipped, but the Canadiens are even more so.

It's very tough to get rumors about the Canadiens moves unless it comes from the agent of a player or players involved or from the other team in a possible trade.

I said before and I will say it again - I've heard absolutely no rumors regarding Sheldon Souray.
