I don't want Byfuglien and I especially don't want him for that package. Holy mother...

If that's the package, then I expect Bogosian and Postma in return.

That's not much better, Postma would be behind MAB and Gus on the depth chart.

If we're getting a defenseman from Winnipeg not named Zach, I want Enstrom. Doubt he's traded though. He's like a Timonen clone.

Great game to scout and trade speculate on with both the flyers and caps struggling

Eskin did say he thinks the Flyers weren't done trading. He isn't really a "rumor monger" and tends to only say stuff when it is going on.

They lose a couple more games and Homer will drop a bomb, no doubt in my mind.

Clearly only one one player away from being the best team in the NHL

Potentially looking at Briere? Probably just looking at potential trade bait in general though.

They're checking out the Flyers' other conditional mid-round picks.

Did the Jets fans give Byfuglien the nickname 'arguably the 2nd best offensive d man in the league'?

They've been using it for the last few weeks now

He was tied last year for 2nd among defenders in points..... and thats it. But one year makes him a perennial elite top scoring dman. I don't know how you don't understand this???

Keith Yandle offense is much better than Big Buffs, and I would take him over Buff every day.

Of the top 10 in D points last year, I'd take byfuglien over only Wideman

He's not second best anymore according the "Buff to Flyers" thread, he's now "arguably the best offensive defenseman in the nhl".

I was informed that this is so because "lol Karlsson is out for the year" so apparently he doesn't count anymore.

I didn't even want to acknowledge that comment. It was hilarious though.

Buff is a great D and I would love to have him on this team, but not at the expense of any of our young core. Coburn would have to be involved.

Before that he was calling Buff "arguably the best offensive d-man in the league."

Yeah if we're going to be packaging guys for an offensive defenseman I'd like one that actually does play defense from time to time.

Just watched Dreger and McKenzie on NHL Network. They both think the Flyers won't go for the big move at the deadline. They think we'll stay put with what we got now.

Which isn't a bad thing because this is a good team. They just need to put it together

I hope not. To me, that's the worst case scenario. If we aren't going for it, trade Briere (unless he declines to waive, then you just amnesty him), Fedetenko and perhaps Mezsaros (if he can come back in time). If we are going for it, then a trade to add some sort of PMD just has to be made.

I'm not advocating that we blow up the core, but we either need to add to it or trade the vets who make more than their play would dictate that they should.
