Vokoun's been a great goalie his entire career. I don't think anyone saw this coming.

'Course, part of it could be due to the fact that he's playing for Pittsburgh, a team much worse defensively than their middle-of-the-pack GA/G suggests.

The last time I really wanted Vokoun was during the Cup year.

I haven't seen Vokoun let in a lot of softies. I have seen quite a few 'fire drills' in front of him with all the D lapses. Just weird that the Pens are not focussed on D as much as I thought they would.

I didn't want any part of Vokoun, he wasn't that great in Washington last year and is old and getting injured a lot.

I could see it coming.

See what coming, that Pittsburgh D...it's not even be playoff calibre, that's how ****ing bad it is.

I will not judge goalies again that play for teams that don't think playing D is needed. PIT doesn't know what D is.
Did this mistake last year with the Hawks and Craw.

That's he's terrible.

Pittsburgh D isn't great, but last night he let in at least 3 goals he should of had. And the game before that he let in a goal from behind the net, and a couple other weak ones too. It's been the trend with him the last 2 years. Doesn't make timely saves, and it deflates the team in front of him.

Not sure what you are talking about in regards to last year as he was quite good. This year, what can you say, he's not fitting in there. Some blame goes to the team, some to him.

He let in deflating goals last year, and soft goals just like any other backup.

1/4 of his games he let in 4+ goals. He had qutie a few good-great games, but you could see he was on the decline pretty clearly.

Kesler is breaking down. What was once regarded as a steal of a contract has become an albatross because of the injuries. He isn't the same player that he once was.

Can't wait until he rushes himself back and it lingers throughout the year, making him quite ineffective.

The number of games in such a short amount of time seems to be taking its toll on a lot of players. A lot of em prolly weren't in hockey shape to start the season too.

Karma Police at work here. They shelved Malhotra for the season pretty much the day before Kesler came back this year to balance out their cap and roster. Nuck brass claims it was for his safety yet he played the 2011 SCF, 78 regular season games last year and the 5 playoff games they had. I'm sure Mannys having a chuckle to himself.

2010: flyers lost in scf
2011: lightning lost in ecf
2012: kings won scf

Vancouver fan I know says he requested to be traded and they said no and put him on IR

Ha what else is new. Ovi just isn't the game changer he used to be, although I think he can get back to that level eventually
