That just means he has the absolute assurance from Doug Maclain that he's a Blue Jacket next winter; so there's no need to be eligible for this team...

Hockey Canada has a strange policy wherein a player must accept invitation in the summer camp in order to play for the WJC team. Is Brule in CBJ's rookie camp or what cause if he isn't doing anything then he might as well head off to Alberta.
