AGally Pleks Gionta two defensive minded forwards
Prust Eller Ryder two other defensive forwards

So Ryder and AGally don't have to worry as much about defensive coverages.

I agree with you. Eller, Chucky and Ryder did not have much going for them tonight. I would rather see Ryder playing along side of Prust. That would give Ryder a little more room to maneuver.
Ryder arrive with the team this morning. Need at least 4-5 games to learn the system. Then we'll see what to do with him!!

Oh please... We have Bourque and Diaz out which are 2 pretty big pieces in our line-up...

And I've seen Leafs fans saying Scrivens was better than Reimer...

Excuses excuses

There should be a drinking game for each time a Leaf fan says, "Remember when we beat them 6-0!".

Livers would explode in ten minutes...

He was one of the best players on the ice IMO.
He kept the play in the Leafs zone the entire time he was on the ice.

Prust isn't an offensive player and Gio... well we all know what's going on with him. So no surprise Plek isn't put up points.

Ryder and Bourque should play with Plek.

I noticed that as well. I actually was thinking we have one of the best 4th line grinder line in the league. Cheers to them.

Big win.

There was a leaf fan earlier today who told me he was going to enjoy coming back to these threads after the game. Where is he... Come enjoy it.. we'd love for you to come.

Great aggressive game by Colby Armstrong. Love the Moen-White-Armstrong line and very glad there is no passive soft wingers such as we had last year, aka #52

Max Pacioretty is a star player and he showed it tonight, this kid reminds me of the player on the left hand side of my post. The difference is that we wont make the same mistake twice. The hockey gods smiled on us tonight, what a win. GO Habs Go.

Plek's line always play again the other team's big line.
Always think of that when creating lines.
A Gally is not ready for such competition.

I'm on the fence on the Brown call but it was at a very dangerous place where Gorges could have been seriously hurt. Is the NHL that primitive that only a serious injury gets a 5 minute major?

I'm all for having tough players but just running around and not even playing the puck is the moronic part of hockey. Emelin gets a penality for hitting Khadri like 18 inches from the puck but clowns like Mclaren and Orr can run your best players like 5 seconds after the puck is gone.

For all the Leaves fans complaiining about missing key players...
1-Diaz and Bourque are just as important if not more than Frattin and Reimer
2-The only reason it wasn't 5-2 after 2 is the two empty nets missed by Pacioretty plus the post by Emelin. Toronto was playing the Ottawa rope a dope and mostly hanging on.

My favorite current Habs player. It's so wonderful to actually love #11 again. Gallagher to end the Gomez shame.

Not only did we win. We trolled Phaneuf repeatedly, LOL over Bozak and bought an empty netter from Kessel. I'd say that is a good night.

Desharnais was really strong tonight. And remember - this is against a physical team. The guy deserves some respect.
