Now, I'm sure part of the reason why his team is a 4th seed is because Malkin played there during the lockout.

Playoffs are going on right now and his team are 2-2 in the conference qf. He could be available pretty soon.

The 5th of 7 games ( I think it's 7) is this friday..

I think Mza could ignite Richards once again If given the chance..

Would it be wrong to root for Magnitogorsk to fail?

Look at the glass half full. Rooting for Zooks to sign here fast.

Sounds like Zooks is having a good playoff but what injury does he need surgery on?

I read something about this just a few weeks ago, and Mats said he was considering getting surgury in the opff season, not because its needed, but to prevent his old injury in his leg to be an issue in the future. As I understand there it is not "needed".

I dont think we know, the article just said (freely translated) : "he is considering surgery this summer to become less injury prone".

They (Metallurg) has called it a "lower body injury", so if i were to guess, i'd say his ankle.

His Ankle and his wrist are the injury "areas" (that i am aware of). His wrist was broken first in the Whale, and again in the Rangers (i believe it was the same arm, although i cant for the life of me find any information on which arm he hurt in the Whale).

I hope Zooks is okay physically. He is one of my 3 favorite Rangers so it would make my season for him to come back. Slats has always spoken positively about the kid. I hope he knows that Slats does want him as a Ranger.

There is nothing to make me think otherwise.
He has been playing really hard, hitting more and aggressive on the forecheck.
This season his average TOI has been around 15 min i believe, the last 4 games (POs) around 20 min per game (one game he actually played 22 min).

20 minutes average in the playoffs? Very nice. What are his stats in those 4 games?

Yes, he is injury free now (as far as i know). He is considering the surgery just as a preemptive measure to guard against potential future injuries (with his idol Forsberg having ankle/foot problems for so many years when he was active, im sure thats also a thing he keeps in the back of his head).

Only thing i dont like about MZA (perhaps) coming back to NY is the thought of that horrible horrible Norwegian female reporter being back at the pressers.... Elin Sørsdahl :

oh yeah...

I seriously belive she ******'ed his standing with Torts at least when he was in a bad mood..

Looking at the KHl playoff gimmick...They have game on friday and sunday this week...

Sooooooooo.....If they get knocked out and he wants to keep himself warm and in the spotlight before the world cup he could be a Ranger at the game vs philly next tuesday...

I doubt it though...

Would be interesting to see him play again; I remember the PP looking pretty good when he was on it.
